It was over once they were his first visit.

Yeah. The fact he went to the Packers biggest rivals says something about his motivation.

Are you saying this team likes being mediocre

To me LG is a huge concern...as is kicker

When Joeckel struggles at guard which he will, then what is Dave going to do?

Josh Sitton signing a 3-year, $21.75 million deal that includes $10M guaranteed with the Chicago Bears, per source.
This doesn't look like breaking the bank.

Fairly tough to swing that considering Parnell is the 2nd highest paid RT, Beachum is going to get his10 mil/yr options, and Linder is going to get a big pay raise too. We are going to have a very expensive oline after this year.

Expensive and not that good.

Draft another good one.
Look, it's evident that Caldwell is building the team with the idea that it needs to be ready next year, else he would've moved on from Bradley and Henne and Myers and now Joke. Guard is a place we can plug and play next season, the kicker will sort itself out before next year and the team cap will still be in good shape next offseason to shore up the depth as needed. I'm not usually a "wait 'til next year" guy, but the roster should be good enough this year to show the changes that must be made to be really good in the next one.

So don't upgrade it this year and get our QB killed. Just wait till draft one. Why not win this season right?

Bortles will be fine, the offensive staff know what they are doing. Winning this year isnt realistic with the huge gaping hole at HC.

All three of those guys are good.
If the team picks up Beachum's option then that means he played at a high level and I'm good with that.

Winning is very realistic with the right players on our roster.

Quote:All three of those guys are good. It's a really good contract if Beachum does live up to the deal, too. It's already the 13th highest average for LT over that span, not including all of the FA LT's that will sign deals over the next 4 years. He'll be a bottom half LT by next year, and probably a bottom 10 paid one by the end of the deal. Excellent contract for us.

Quote:So don't upgrade it this year and get our QB killed. Just wait till draft one. Why not win this season right? Our O-line had Joeckel at LT, Beadles at LG, and Wiz at C.
This year we have Beachum at LT who was a top 10 LT in PIT, Joeckel at LG (I don't like Joeckel but I like his chances of being an upgrade to Beadles), and Linder (probably our best OL who has a chance to be an all-pro C) at Center...
Bortles isn't going to get killed. He had high sack numbers last year because he loves to hold onto the ball and escape the pocket. Sure, our OL needs to be better than last year (but it's easy to tell it already will be this year by a decent margin by getting Beachum and Linder), but the ridiculously high numbers of getting hit is due to his game too.
