Doubt he'll win because of Hurts and Mahomes but in the convo at least, crazy to think.
Unfortunately, it’s too late for MVP this year.

Hurts and Mahomes got it on lock. But I would love it if your first paragraph comes true!

Yeah probably, tho I think Doug should win COTY and ETN should maybe win Comeback player of the year at least. Unless i'm forgetting someone.

ETN way too fumbly for that.

Oh well we were laying an egg in the first half of the game..  glad this team bounces back and knows when it's time to win.

 No chance.

If a couple QB's drop out of the Pro Bowl maybe gets in as replacement, but that is long shot as the votes will come in before the end of a possible playoff push and he is like 5-7th in counting stats for AFC QB's.

They don't actually play the pro bowl anymore, so no more alternates getting in because a bunch of guys weren't interested in playing.

To me if what I said above came true, he should in my eyes be a heavy contender. What's more impressive, Jalen Hurts guiding an all star team in Philly to the playoffs and a nice record or Trevor taking a young team coming off a horrible season into the playoffs.

Keep in mind, if he averaged 3 TDs a game the rest of the season he'd be at 33 TD and likely less than 10 ints. That's a pretty damn good stat line.
We need to find a way to bottle up the urgency and crowd noise we had in that second half and use it for a whole game.

Mainly because we sucked most of that time, but there are two games that will stick with me forever: the Bills win in 2017 and today's game. What a tremendous experience. During OT I was chatting with the Cowboys fan next to me (who had a surprising resemblance to John Malkovich), and I told him, win or lose, we got our money's worth today.

My ears are still ringing from the stadium roar after THE interception

I have not heard it that loud in a LONG time !  Gentlemen today we had a team.
Arguably the play of the game. Him fighting to get out of bounds and saving that time out was massive.

I couldn’t watch the second half due to work; so may be a dumb question, but what was the reasoning why they called it out of bounds? Because his elbows touched the sideline ?

Because the ref is blind or wanted the cowboys to win? Who knows, he's standing just a couple yards away from the play when he made the call to keep the clock running.

Never gave a reason, but my guess is he maybe couldn't see Engram's knees and thought they touched down? Here's a replay of it.

So true. Engram plays with a lot of heart, in addition to his high level of skill.
I have no voice left after that game. Best home game since 2018 Pats.

Yup, I think he's a must re-sign. Gotta find a way to keep him. Still need to add another one, but Engram is valuable to this team.

Yes indeed, the stadium was lit to say the least. We was literally standing the entire fourth qtr.

NH3...
Boy the Sounds of the Game are gonna be good this week!

But you have to remember we view this all with teal colored glasses.

If Lawrence wasn't as streaky bad in Oct, especially after the Chargers win, maybe the narrative and story would have been better covered all season by writers and national media. Maybe one of the prior games gets flexed to national limelight.

Problem is that too much of the national media don't look beyond the base stats and records. They generally view the AFC South at bleh as well and coming back to win it isn't that great of an accomplishment.

MVP is all about narrative, story and convincing the media. For example, you could argue the same thing about Burrow who went to the SB, and has a bit more cache with the national media. He and the Bengals started the season off slow, but have turned the corner again in the past few weeks. Yet, he is no where close to a MVP contender right now between Mahomes and Hurts.

Consolation. I definitely think he would have an argument for Player of the Month for Dec if he keeps it up.

They originally didnt....didn't..... kept clock rolling, which caused jags to burn last timeout. Booth reviewed it and changed the ruling because he fought his way out of bounds.

My apologies I was asking why they did say he made out of bounds after review. I am happy no doubt just couldn’t tell from the angle. I thought his whole body or knees has to be out of bounds so maybe I understand the NFL rule wrong?
