@AdamSchefter Bears have informed Pro Bowl kicker Robbie Gould that he is being released, league source tells ESPN.
He's better than the trash we have now.
Anyone on here who doesn't believe we should bring him in is too far gone for recovery.
Would much rather have Cody Parkey.

With all of your 'no brainer' additions, I think we would have about 40 new players on this roster every year.

Myers was a better field goal kicker last year than Gould last year.
Gould far better at XPs.

Agreed. I'm sick of seeing Myers badly hook every one of his kicks. How hard is it to kick the ball straight? Every other kicker in the NFL can do it. He's gonna cost us multiple games and we finally have a chance at winning this division. Every victory is gonna count, so why stick with Myers? It makes no sense.
I would prefer Parkey as well but I would consider Gould or others as well.
I just don't trust Myers anymore, it's not his stats, is the way he kicks that's worrying and honestly I can't understand what are they seeing in him to keep counting on him.
Even the kicks Myers makes are shaky.
I am about as pro-Dave as you can get but I cannot figure out why Myers is still here. I gave Myers the benefit of the doubt last year as he was a rookie but he has looked very shaky this camp/preseason.
There is a 24 year old, former Pro Bowl kicker sitting out on the street. Move on from Myers and sign Parkey. We wouldn't have to worry about the kicking game for years to come.

Same for me. I understand the Sitton thing, but this just makes no sense to me.
