Football wise I could not care less. They both have to play in it.

From my personal aspect of knowing I will be sitting in that [BLEEP] all I can say is SUCK. This Florida boy doesn't deal well with that [BLEEP]. Layers upon layers I tell ya.
Hand warmers or battery powered ones are great. 1 in each sock and glove, then anywhere else if you get really cold.

Chiefs and Colts pump crowd noise into their PA system.  The NFL should institute rules that both teams have representation to oversee the PA system activities.
I'm calling BS on that. Do you have any proof of that?
Maybe we can have a first half where just everything possible goes right like the Chargers did. We have to get in Mahomes' head though, let him know he can't hold onto the ball and roll around outside the pocket for big plays. Game day is drawing near!

Is a win likely? Probably not. But if you take out the best team in the playoffs at that point you gotta feel pretty damn confident in a potential run at the bowl

You might want to clarify here.  I fail to see how this game or being in this game is a curse.

every silver lining has a cloud.

The said poster is often posting in jest / sarcasm. His second remark about equal PA representation is the giveaway Wink

Hard disagree. I am sure they got some bandwagoners from Mahomes, but they are a legacy and heritage franchise. They have generational buildup of fans, something Jax is just starting to scratch the surface of. They were selling out games and being loud long before Mahomes.

Fair enough

Goes back to the Hank Stram and Len Dawson days. My Dad lived a stone's throw away from Arrowhead Stadium growing up in the late 60's and early 70's before my Grandfather was moved elsewhere due to the Military. He said you could hear the crowd from his neighborhood. That place has always been tough to play and pretty special.

Dude. What?

Do a little research for once.

Research?  But I prefer knee jerk reactions when [BLEEP] talking the opposing team

I agree with your attitude; but the history of the franchise is undisputed.  They were the inaugural AFL representative for the first Super Bowl.  They were the 2nd AFL team to win to win the SB in 1970.  They have always had a passionate fanbase even thru the lean 70's with Mike Livingston and the equally lean 90's / 2000's with Elvis Grbac and Trent Green.  Mahomes is the best QB they've had since Montana, and its why they are on top again.

Yes, you've sobered me up.  Of course the Chiefs have a storied history.  I think I just got carried away with the Us v. Them mentality of this game.  Thanks for the historical reminder!

Fifth-year NFL referee Shawn Hochuli and his crew have been assigned as the officials for the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC divisional round.

The last game that Hochuli officiated for Kansas City was the team’s “Sunday Night Football” game against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11. During that game his crew threw eight penalty flags, with four on each team. Hochuli also officiated the Week 3 loss to the Chargers last season. In total, he’s officiated seven games for Kansas City since the 2018 NFL season and the Chiefs have a 5-2 overall record in those games.

In 16 games during the 2022 regular season, Hochuli’s crew threw 191 total flags, good for the ninth-most in the league. Their 42 dismissed penalties are the second-most in the NFL this year behind only Alex Kemp’s crew. They’ve also called three more penalties on home teams than away teams this season, showing a pretty even distribution of calls.

Offensive holding (44) and false start (38) penalties are called by this crew at a high rate compared to everything else. The next closest penalties are defensive pass interference (16), defensive holding (14) and unnecessary roughness (12), followed by roughing the passer (9) and defensive offsides (8).

The Jaguars have struggled with false start penalties this season (20) and that could prove problematic at Arrowhead Stadium. Meanwhile, Kansas City led the NFL this season in defensive pass interference penalties (14) and that could be exploited by an underrated Jaguars WR corps. Jacksonville was also called for the fourth-most defensive holding penalties in the league (9).
I like Hochuli. Sounds like his crews seem to call a relatively balanced number of calls which is nice. Last thing I want is the [BLEEP] show that was the LAC game or NE AFCCG where we're getting blatantly hosed.
The only thing that will dishearten me is a complete blowout. I hope our guys fight hard and keep it close and give themselves a chance. Don't wanna listen to everyone laughing for a week and saying we never belonged here to begin with.

LOL, don't sober up that attitude. I'm certainly not going to.

You might want to clarify here.  I fail to see how this game or being in this game is a curse.

What I meant is that, this game could be a franchise changing moment, giving us all a hope to get a ring this year or next if we were to pull it off. Taking out that #1 team.
Or, on the flip side we could get blown out and have to go into the offseason on a bitter note.

A win in this game would be gigantic for this team/city/fans. A BIG loss would hurt.

I don’t think a big loss is in the cards.  That said, even if we are to get get hosed on multiple fronts and lose big, this is the beginning of a long term open window.  Nothing to get too upset about in my opinion.
I’m not sure if this has been posted yet or not but I just saw that the Jaguars eight wins as an underdog this season tires for the most in Super Bowl era

Simply wow

Go jags!
Unless we look like TCU against Georgia tomorrow then, regardless of outcome, this season was a MASSIVE success and gave our fan base legitimate reasons to be hopeful/excited about the future.

With that said. We winning this [BLEEP].
I just saw an NBC Sports promo for the game tomorrow:

"Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are ready to turn it up at Arrowhead, but the Jags aren't about to go quietly."

Well, that sums up the consensus of what they think of our chances.
Ya ya ya, The Big Bad Chiefs. In the past it would have been easy too look past the Jags. But this TEAM is different, their unpredictable and they don’t know their supposed too lose.

The future isn’t guaranteed, your in the show and you don’t know that you’ll get this chance again. So live for today and go for it!!

Win!!
