Good riddance.  The twitter statement should have stated the WRs fumbled the ball and missed a deep pass to lose to KC in the playoffs.

In fact I believe Ariens is the only HC to have hired him.  Boy am I glad our owner didn't take that bait. I don't have anything against Byron, he just isn't ready for some responsibilities,,

Byron is awaiting the KC or SF head coaching job.   Rumor has it Andy Reid gets fired if they lose to the Eagles and Kyle Shanahan may be let go given their poor showing in the NFC Championship Game.  Both KC and SF have reached out to Leftwich's agent secure interviews within the next week.

Hahahaha, the teams that have been available hasn't been worthy of king Byron. Byron will be the next HC of the Eagles or 49ers, which ever he prefers and he will get the GM of his choosing.#ByronOrBust

Left side of FLG&J's mouth "Bruce Arians is a God of draft strategy"

Right side of FLG&J's mouth "Arians lied about Byron Leftwich - you know - the guy who he hired twice and won the Super Bowl with at OC"

Doug P and Daboll on the hot seat as well. Imagine not getting to the NFCCC with Mr D Jones. Outrageous!

I'm having a little fun laughing at the way you like bashing Leftwich, whom Arians gushes about with praise and won a Super Bowl with -

- yet quoting Arians as gospel every time you seek to defend your silly position on drafting the top rated player available no matter his position.

Do you understand the incongruence?

Well now you're going to confuse him even more!

Yea, all you need is Ariens to draw up a game plan and the GOAT to over rule play calls for him on the field. Then all is good !!

So provide some evidence that happened.

Oh…you can’t.

Working with Brady and Arians doesn't make Leftwich a bad coordinator.

Also - not the point of my post.
Wasn’t Belichick fired in Cleveland?

Unfortunately, the Browns never had a Tom Brady to save his bacon.

That and Art Modell is a bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep

Thank you for providing me yet another opportunity to besmirch the Modell name.
Sometimes you look back and realize how glad you are that something you wanted to happen didn't happen.

I think everyone here can agree with that.
But some of us are in the camp of “never wanted it to happen and are glad it didn’t”. Perhaps there were non-football reasons for some. I would have supported Byron if he became our coach, but I saw it more as you can’t take the chance on a “never been an NFL head coach before” type of guy coming off the season we had just had. Couldn’t risk stunting Trevor another year or two, though I think he would have still progressed somewhat regardless.

I also didn’t care for what seemed like the very vocal clown movement was the same folks getting very vocal in their support of Byron. There’s an extra bit of satisfaction that comes from how this season played out in the face of the very vocal folks attempting to drive and thinking they had the wheel.

What about didn't like the move and it worked out great?

For instance.... Travis Etienne

Dude. Some folks around here say some dumb stuff so don't give me a hard time.

So did Sirianni stunt the growth of Hurts? Or McVay stunt the growth of Goff? Or Taylor stunt the growth of Burrow?

Sometimes the young coordinator works out really well. Obviously, sometimes it doesn’t.

I’m extremely glad the Jags have Pederson. He was definitely the right man for the job. Before he was hired, I thought his ship at sailed on the Jags and they were left to choose off the scrap heap with that dude from the Raiders. That’s why I was pushing for Leftwich. Pederson wasn’t even on my radar since they went a month after his interview before hiring him. That’s not normal.
