Even though I can't call myself a real fan, even though I live out here, the Rangers seem to be going all in by adding Scherzer and Montgomery to an already decent pitching staff to go along with one of the best offenses in the AL.

1983 WS 40th anniversary night at The Yard! I got my Eddie Murray bobble head!!!

As a very young Pirates fan in 1979, I happened to go to Game 4 of the WS between the Pirates and the O's in which the Pirates lost 9-6 to go down 3 games to 1. The Pirates won the next 3 to win the WS but all I can remember is sitting out in the cold rain waiting for that miserable game to end. I just checked and it lasted 3:48 due to interim rain delays and such.

It pays homage to The Boston Marathon Bombing victims. Boston Strong jerseys..

Pretty cool little side note about the jersey.. Not many people outside of Boston know about this, but the word "Boston" on the front of their City Connect uniform, is in the font of Stencil to mimic the finish line of The Boston Marathon.

I wasn't too keen on the new rule changes at first.. Pitch clock, batter clock, all that stuff.. But I gotta say, it really pumped some new life into the game. Was a great rule change and made the season more fun..
