Hill is the greatest to play the game. He just needs a real QB like Mallet to get him the ball.

Being that Stephen Hill is only 25,  it certainly wouldn't be surprising if he re-surfaces with another team on a Practice Squad and/ or as a Futures player in 2017.
Browns cut Desir

I really like Desir.

I'd bring him in over keeping someone like Marshall

Hill is practice squad eligible?

With him being 25 with his size and speed, he will get picked up by somebody. If nothing else he can stretch the field.
Any kickers cut yet?

Remember the short-term love for Aaron Murray after one preseason game? The Chiefs cut him because nobody wanted to give them a draft pick for someone coming off a torn ACL.

Cap Capi released

Stephen Hill might still have P.S. eligibility because of the modification of the P.S. rules a couple of years ago.   He only appeared in regular season games in 2 seasons.

Bring him home Dave. We need the Cap.

So it has nothing to do with how many years he has been employed in the NFL?

I wonder if players are grandfathered in with that rule change.

They expanded the following modification from 2014 to 4 players this season.   This is why Stephen Hill MIGHT have P.S. eligibility and why I thought Ryan Davis had P.S. eligibility,  until realizing with the help of another poster, in another thread,  that Davis was on the Jaguars 53 man roster since 2013.

However, beginning in 2016, the NFL is allowing four players per practice squad to have two accrued seasons, making it easier for teams to have experienced players on their practice squad. In the previous agreement, only two players with two accrued seasons were allowed to be on a practice squad.

A player is allowed on the practice squad for up to two years, with one year counting as six weeks in a season. A third year on the practice squad is only allowed if the team keeps 53 players on their active roster at all times.

Outside of Jacksonville, who is the most surprising cut so far?

Lawson
Quote:Bills cut Cyril Richardson....I'd kick the tires. I liked him coming out. Big, athletic dude.

Marrone was coach when the Bills drafted him. I agree with you. Kick the tires on him.
Good news if Dave Caldwell bites on it: The Falcons cut Shayne Graham. They still have Matt Bryant.
