This line is looking prophetic: "The 49ers gave up three first-round picks and a third-round selection to acquire this pick from the Dolphins a few weeks ago. Trevor turned it around, but also showed some signs he could in college. Yep and i'm actually shocked that Urban Meyer didn't take him based on the college connection. Imagine if he had, good lord. I like Fields but he gives me the same vibes Lamarr does, once his legs slow down he's gonna be average. As was Vick and Cam.

I was making reference to my observations of that QB class, the one I paid the absolute most attention to pre-draft because well, it was quite obvious we were going to get one of these guys about midway through that season.
There wasn't nothing to be "called on" simply stated that was one of my reasons for being somewhat skeptical of Trevor before he got here, and was my main concern for Zach Wilson because what I thought could be an on and off issue for Trevor was something ZW struggled with on a weekly basis against sub par talent.

Simms was acting so weird with his evaluation of Wilson. It almost felt like he was secretly in love with him at times. I thought it was pretty clear that Lawrence/Fields were 1a/1b in that class. So far, passing wise he hasn't seemed to catch up to the NFL speed but his running ability has helped him immensely. He could be a monster if he can get the passing part down.

I never advocated for us to take any QB other than Lawrence that year, I just was less sold on him than most. I thought that class was the most over hyped qb class i've ever personally paid attention to. That being said, certain people gonna try and spin things as if me saying Mac Jones looked better in his rookie season means he shoulda been our pick because thats their way of attempting to discredit me or something.
