Jones is the best RT in the class and a similar size to Jordan Mailata while being a much better player than Mailata was coming out and he has been great. Harrison is a shorter tackle. I could see us taking Jones and just letting Little stay at LT amd when Cam comes back put him at LG. I'd be good with Mauch at 24 as well. Hopefully we can trade back though. Let's draft a one dimensional LG with poor footwork to help off set the suspension of an overpaid and sloppy LT....
Little is our LT. If anything. We could relax tonight and look for a RT with the 56th pick tomorrow night. IF, IF they feel compelled to take a LT?
It would be Darnell Wright if he falls. Which is doubtful. Or, Anton Harrison, who is probably the 4th to 5th best LT left on the board around 930 - 1000 PM tonight.

Walker is still very raw and unproven. Allen will want to get paid after this season. Where is the pass rush going to come from?? Somebody help me out here, please??

I think we still bring in a vet pass rusher after June 1st. Hopefully Leonard Floyd

My nightmare pick is Emmanuel Forbes. Mel Kiper has mocked him to us. In a division with Derrick Henry and Jonathan Taylor, I don't want to draft a 166 lb CB.

Yeah, he's a great corner and playmaker but can he survive at that size? He's thin as a rail. If Henry trucks him he's likely out for the season

Personally. I think if Porter Jr. or Banks are there within, let's say, four to five selections? I could see Baalke trying to come up to get them. You might have to hand over the 88th selection to do so but if we land a legitimate CB2 with CB1 potential to mirror Campbell? I think it's worth the trade.
The expectation should be Walker and Allen being more viable as pass rushers in 2023 and converting those pressure percentages into sacks. They get a little more time to find paydirt with two really good CB's on the outside and potentially Williams figuring out the slot position this off season or them even drafting a nickel/slot CB down the road this weekend.
I really think, realistically, this team is going to double dip at CB and EDGE this weekend. It just feels not only necessary, but, the value is there in this class to pull it off. Whether it's a combination of Cam Smith at CB and Garrett Williams at Nickel/CB or them going all in between RD3 and RD4 with guys like Riley Moss and Mekhi Blackmon. Those are our problem solvers for that position IMHO.
They're going to have to draft the big guys, whether it's O or D line, early. Starting tonight more than likely or at the minimum within rounds 2 and 3. First three picks are going towards our needs though. Swing Tackle, Nickel CB and CB2/CB1 as well as LG are all there for the taking. We can get this done with 24, 56 and 88.

Is McClendon in the 3rd to high? You're a Georgia fan so I figured you would know better on him. I wonder if we could take him in the 3rd and plug him in a day 1 starter. He started the last 2 years and won 2 championships and every time I watched Georgia the oline almost always seemed very good.

What if we took Torrence in the first and traded up for Dawand Jones in the 2nd and went defense the rest of the way. How would yall feel about that?

I could honestly live with that.

The offense might need thirty points a game but I won’t ever complain about keeping Trevor upright.

No complaint from me.
Especially since, in 2024, Cam Robinson has a $22 million cap figure, and only $5 million in dead money if he's released.

This is where we should be thankful Baalke is a "traits" drafter. He likes height, weight, speed, etc. I think he would shy away from a 166 lb CB in the first round.

Also, this suspension likely doesn't change the Jags draft plans because they've known about this for quite some time but the rest of the world found out last night.

...how would you feel about your franchise QB playing behind two rookie starters, two second year guys and an oft-injured older guy?
I'm not fully against the notion, but if that's what we roll out on week 1, we are probably gonna put some extra pressure on Trevor's shoulders while the newbs get their footing.
Both are very capable at their craft, but I would still be nervous.

Slow white guy that doesn't get separation doesn't fit the Pederson system. Who do you think we are, the NY Jets (kyle brady draft reference).

Great point!
But I would still prefer Jones over Wells at RT and Torrence at LG over Bartch/Shatley.
