Yep, perfect description of needs drafting.
Bro is absolutely clueless hahahah

The Jags can not afford to let Lawrence get beat like Luck.

What if they aren't the BAP?   Big Grin

Then you get into a long drawn out argument with a guy on this board who is confused about draft philosophy.
O Torrance

Bring in a free agent tackle.

Draft a tackle in the 3rd round.

Which FA tackle exactly?

The only two left I'd take a look at are Donovan Smith and Cam Erving. Both are 30 year olds, both likely have decent tread on the tires and can get us through the year better than Josh Wells. Outside of that it's has beens and never was guys like Isaiah Wynn.
Nothing says draft week like the annual argument on BAP and need.
Cant wait.
Hear me out

What about Darnell Washington at 24?

We need a long term solution at TE in case we can’t get Engram locked in on a multi year deal, but the greatest benefit would be in blocking during those two TE sets Doug loves. Especially if there’s not a starting OT there at 24 to grab up, we’re gonna need all the extra blocking we can get because of our OL holes (even more glaring in light of the impending Robinson suspension).

Just my own intriguing thought on getting a good player that fills 2 needs

You are either changing the rules because you lost the argument or you never actually understood what BAP drafting is.

I'm going with the former. LOL

I mean I know I've had this conversation with you multiple times.  Did you already forget?  Lol. Do I really need to go find the old conversations to refresh your memory?  I know it can't be that bad

Lemme give you an example of drafting BPA in jaguar terms.

When we took LB Chad Muma in the 3rd round, after drafting Lloyd in the 1st and signing Oluokun in free agency.
do we give the pick away for Budda? Otherwise, I'm guessing Branch unless maybe Carter drops badly. Pretty much forces us to draft a Tackle in the 2nd or 3rd.

I would trade for Booty baker in a heart beat, but not for the 24th pick unless it was like Baker + their 2nd rounder or something.
We got an "eventual average starter" OT instead of a potential Pro Bowl CB, or decent pass rusher. Obviously he'll start immediately for us.
Anton Harrison as expected this morning. They picked up three picks though and can easily trade up for a CB tomorrow night or even make a deal for Budda Baker or Chase Young.

Again, ill never understand the pissing and moaning over efforts being made in protecting the most important position on your team.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with taking a swing tackle that fits our RPO/Zone based blocking scheme already and he's only allowed 1 QB hit in 2 years.

I don't really mind it, it's just unfortunate that it happened for the reasons that it did.

None of us will truly know I just hope it was our top guy before they found out about Cam and didn't panic

Best case scenario:

Anton works out, Cam gets traded along with that big dumb contract, and Walker Little turns out to be the LT of the future.

I have a feeling Cam Robinson may be someone we ship out right b4 the trade deadline during the season, assuming Anton and Little play well.

I like Harrison I just thought we passed on some better players.  Hopefully he was the best pick and a future All Pro
Keion White, Isaiah Foskey, Byron Young (TEN), Derick Hall and Karl Brooks. One of them will be a Jaguar tomorrow night.

No one is trading for an average player with a big salary coming off a suspension who's one more infraction away from a year suspension.

I had a few mocks where I ended up with both Byron Youngs. That would be fun.

If Foskey some how falls to our pick he will be the steal of the draft
