I cannot fathom 24 & 25 being played away from Jacksonville. Heavens ! if they went on a super bowl run during that time. That would deprive a city which has endured years and years and years and years of poor teams. Makes no sense at all. Being a day one season ticket holder I would be inclined to ... well never mind (but pitchforks and torches are involved)

Renovation would be during 2025 and 2026 and the team will likely not play anywhere but in our stadium the whole time if they follow the model that Khan and Lamping laid out in the last "state of the franchise" press conference.

All this kerfuffle simply stems from the lame duck mayor talking out of his backside.

Is there a chance they decide on a renovation plan that forces the team to play games elsewhere? Sure, it is still possible, but that was not what they laid out last year, and nothing different has been decided or confirmed yet.

Thanks for reminding me of that. Saved me a trip to HD.
I believe downtown will come back. We’re seeing a genesis of it with all the new apartments/condos going up. Classic old buildings are being renovated into living spaces, which is really cool. With more people will come more restaurants, bars and attractions. I’m just hoping I live to see it. It’s a crime to squander the beauty of the riverfront.
Jacksonville needs a domed stadium with a retractable roof. Make the stadium multi-use so Jacksonville may host many other non-football events when not football season.

...maybe the stadium is at risk of collapse under the weight of a capacity crowd. We mitigated this risk for years with nigh-perpetual ineptitude, but now a different strategy must be deployed. Constunction, yeah, that's the ticket.
