He followed that up by getting himself suspended.
That FORCED the team to alter draft strategy and redirect capital.
ALL of these things add up to an unlikelihood for Cam to be a Jag after 2023.
I agree with this. All the other teams know Cam's skill level. They know his cap hit. They know about the suspension. They know he is coming off an injury. Currently I can't see any team that would give us more than a 6th and require us to eat most of his salary. He is far more valuable to us as a as a player this year. Going into the season with Cam, Little and Anton as our primary tackles is ok. I listed Anton last as he has yet to play a professional football game. (or really hit anyone in practice) Yea he has the skills and attributes, but needs to show us he can be productive using them.

As much as I also want to get rid of him, I think it's a good thing. At least now if Anton or Walker don't play well, we have only gotta get through til week 5 until we can replace one of them. And if they both are really good, perhaps we can find a solid trade for Robinson before the deadline and since he wont miss any time if traded post week 5 we might get a better deal for him.

Part of me thinks they were gonna look for a T regardless of what happened to Cam. It's very likely we have to pay Lawrence before next season so it makes sense to replace a big contract with a rookie.. something we rarely have to think much of in Jacksonville, but looking back with hindsight it makes sense.. And they weren't nessacarily drafting for need for most of the first half of the draft honestly so he may have been the BAP to them regardless.
