FSU picked up a 5 star DB transfer from Bama a few days ago, Earl Little Jr..
Ain't no way a 5 star leaves a Saban coached Bama..

I saw that and thought it was a little odd. Now we know.
They will go hard after Dan Lanning. But not sure he’ll leave Oregon. Kiffin, Norvell, DeBoer, Swinney, Freeman also reportedly will get vetted.
Saban retiring. This ball began rolling last year as a few former players mentioned cryptically they were worried about him.

With Travis maybe. Not without. Michigan's defense is scary good. If FSU couldn't move the ball that well against a sorry defense like Florida and Louisville, how do you move against Michigan?
And let's not make the FSU defense out to be the '85 Bears here. They looked solid against poor offenses, but good qbs put up points on them. Duke ran it on them pretty good, and I am pretty sure Duke was winning in that game before Leonard got hurt. Clemson moved the ball on FSU. So did Miami and Boston College. LSU moved it easy on them in the first half. Michigan would have put up prolly 20-24 points on FSU alone with their offense. Defensively, they may have scored 14 alone. So I don't buy this "FSU defense is invincible" narrative. They played some very weak teams this year that made them look good. Michigan proved their defense against great teams.
It's funny how FSU was a good defense when they had Travis. After he got hurt, FSU fans wanted to make FSU a great defense. Now after the season, they want to make this defense into the '85 Bears. Like come on. Michigan would have kicked the living [BLEEP] out of a Travis-less FSU team. Even the spread said it would be Michigan -17
Lot of reports out there that Mike Norvell and Kalen DoBoer are top 2 candidates to replace Saban and already have interviewed for job. Norvell a +150 favorite to replace Saban. If he leaves, my guess is FSU goes after Coach Prime.
My bad. Norvell will interview for job. Hasn’t interviewed yet.

I don't know where you get your info from, but I'd ask for a refund..

A lot of sources said Norvell was interviewing (I posted one of them) and he prolly did interview. He could have used it as leverage to get more $$$ out of FSU. That's how a lot of these things go. Good for FSU for hanging on to him because he's a hell of a coach.
My guess is Bama goes hard after DeBoer now, and maybe that's the guy they wanted all along outside of Lanning. And I think DeBoer would be crazy not to take it. I think Washington is a school you can get to the playoffs once every three years...maybe nat'l title every once in a while...but Bama is a school you can keep inside the top 5 every year. And the guy is a great recruiter. Washington going to take a big step back next year but Bama will still be up there.
Looks like Washington's Debooger is working a deal out to be Saban's replacement in Alabama.
Sounds like DeBoer is getting the job. I wonder if they notified Norvell and Sark they're not getting it and they saved face by coming out this morning saying they're staying. Last night, it had DeBoer as the odds on favorite to land job so that may have been their top target with Norvell as backup.
I wouldn’t want to be the guy who comes in to replace Saban.

Yeah. Big shoes to fill for sure. It'll be interesting how it all plays out now with the long overdue play off formatting changes.
The recruitment and NIL stuff makes college football a little bit more interesting for me now as a fan that kind of tuned in but mostly tuned out on college gameday's.
