I don't mind us running the ball.

It'll pay dividends in the 4th.  But some of the play calling and that 4th down decision...  It just doesn't look like our offense from last year.  There's something off.  The routes don't look the same, they aren't as effective as last year.

I don't know.  I can't put my finger on it.  It just doesn't look the same.
The TOP is 17 to 13. That should help in the 2nd half in the heat.

Definitely need to mix in the run and call better plays.

Trevor has to stop predetermining the pass.

It's the offensive line.

Easy for the Chiefs to play the secondary as the pressure is making us throw short.

We are a 2nd half team so still feel confident with us.

Since when can you draft offensive linemen at the half?

Lol! Maybe walk the parking lot and see if any big guys fancy playing.

Will need to see the play analytics but it took around 10 seconds or so for him to get there.

Losing Zay Jones has slowed the passing game.   Agnew is not a replacement for Zay.

Why has Tank not played?

(09-17-2023, 02:35 PM)OG-JAGFAN Wrote: [ -> ]Agreed. Normally the more the media props the Jaguars up, the worse the perform.

I remember the 2009 pre-season after our 2008 run.

The entire Media was calling us SB contenders...  We gave Garrard a huge contract.  We went on to win like 7 games that year.  That was my indoctrination into the #BecauseJaguars life.

Jaguars sucked in 2008. That was the year the offensive line all got hurt, and Josh Scobee stubbed his toe in warm-ups in week 1 and couldn’t kick 2008 was also the year they traded up to #8 to draft Derrick Harvey.

Nobody picked the Jaguars to go to the Super Bowl in 2009.

Lol. That too. But I was expecting an offensive shootout, not a defensive slog.

Our D is making mahomes rush... and yeah that going for it on 4th was a BIG mistake.  Wallbash

6 points off of 3 or 4 turnovers and still down by 1 point is mind numbingly frustrating.

It's effectively a tie game at the half, it's an improvement on last year.

Do you think that Trevor is predeterming plays or do you just think the play concepts/design are limiting his ability to read the right target.  Of course, the O-Line isn't helping either...  But I just don't see the same type of route concepts like we did last year...  It just doesn't look like last year to me.

I don't know...  I need to go back and look at some of last year's game tape that Jags United posted from last year.  I don't see the depth concepts by recievers like last year.  Now it just seems like each play is designed to go quick to a specific reciever.  Last year, it seemed like Trevor was given more options to read and throw too...

Damn, I'm not gay. But that Evan Washburn dude is a tall glass of water, ain't he?
They need to fix this offensive line in the off season. Need a new interior completely. Fortner is not going to be our Meester or Linder. Might need to kick him to Guard to replace Scherff. He played 4 years at Guard in Kentucky and 1 year at Center. Bartch is not the answer at LG.
