We get the clots and tinhorns again. We still have the tacks twice.
We still have the 49ers, Steelers, Browns, Ravens and Bengals to get through.
We still have the rest of the NFC South to get through after Atlanta this Sunday.
This team is no longer trust worthy in the long run. Playing down to competition is what they're notorious for and there's a bunch of teams on here who we all thought they were clearly better than on paper.
It's going to be tough man. I won't ever make this mistake again as a fan with optimism. Classic Jaguars. Give you hope one year and then proceed to [BLEEP] the bed for a few more years.
The offensive line needs an overhaul. The defensive line is once again soul searching for it's dominate pass rushing presence or enforcer.
The "alpha" receiver we traded for will more than likely be a one and done type deal here and we'll have to backfill some of these other positions at some point from that big free agency haul we had last off season.
Of course. All this can be put to rest if they come home on the right side of .500 in October.

THAT'S a bit of an overreaction. It's been 3 games and he was out of football over a year. Ridley will be fine
1st, I totally agree. Dude was out a year, his body and his mental state is no longer used to the collisions and pain he's now experiencing in full contact NFL regular season game play. But with that said, there's no guarantee Ridley will be fine. Honestly, and I'm sure certain folks here will mock me for saying this, but I hope Ridley has a really good sports psychologist. Dude is going through some things that are hard to cope with.
I hope he can pull through. But man, let's not pretend that any of us know what it's really like to get rocked by the top 1% of athletes in the world trying to hurt you. And Ridley had a year off to let his body and mind recover. Now he's back in the middle of it... I can only imagine the difficulty Ridley is going through... If he doesn't make it... I wouldn't call him out for it. Dude is giving his all out there. He's just in the middle of a re-acclimation period. He may make it. He may not.
But it's too early to give up on him.

I think he meant it as a rental....
I don't think will resign him

There’s like a 1% chance we don’t re-sign him.
This fan base I swear.
He’s still our best WR by a mile even with the recent drops.
Prediction:
Ridley goes off with a bounce back performance, 10 rec, 150 yards 2 TDs against his former team, puts our sorry [BLEEP] back into gear and the season starts getting interesting again

Yep
99% Chance we re-sign him? After his performance so far?
Based on his play it's 50/50 at this point. Maybe after he get's his "sea legs" back under him it'll be 99% at the end of the year. But based on his performance and his reactions to plays where he either dropped the ball or got hit and dropped the ball, it's not 99% that he's capabable of being an NFL WR.
There's more to being an NFL player than just having the talent. You have to also be able to absorb the pain and pressure of a season. To act as though you know for certain that he's still got what it takes is hubris at the level of Odysseus.

Um, so what is his market worth? Just curious to hear your opinion if you think will resign him

Ridley is far and above the best WR this team has had in many years, he's leaps and bounds better than Kirk and Zay. He's struggled a bit, he also missed almost 2 years.

Kirk and Zay didn't drop the type of balls Ridley has dropped.
Ridley may have been great for Atlanta... He has not performed anywhere near the level of Kirk and Zay have as Jaguars.
Potential isn't worth a damn if it's not realized. And so far, Ridley isn't anything but a fart in the wind.
Zay's TD catch in Week 1 against the clots is by far the best catch any WR has made all season. And Kirk has been more reliable that Ridley over the 3 games we've played. We all hope Ridley will get acclimated to the NFL life again. But it's not a guarantee that he'll be able to come back to the form he was 2 years ago. Honestly, I think the WR and TE group from 2022 should have been able to run it back without any other additions... Maybe I'll be wrong and Ridley will get his [BLEEP] together... I hope that happens.

He's 3 weeks into a season.
His market will be determined by what he puts on tape between now and February 11th.
More than likely he'll play well enough o make the Jaguars (or someone else) find a way to pay him a lot of money to play football in 2024.

More talented, yes. He’s quick as a cat and knows how to run his routes. But you are what you put on film. Until he starts playing better than those guys, he’s not better. We’ll know if he’s able to turn it around in the next handful of games.

He's going against his old team and I think he will have a chip on his shoulder from the way he played last week. It will be a tough matchup going against one of the better corners in the league though in Terrell. I think he rebounds with a good game and makes some good plays though.

I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't targeted a ton but used to clear space for Engram and Kirk to work underneath primarily.
Nonetheless - every defense we face will have a plan for him and many of them are going to shade a safety his way pretty often. Some of our "fans" may have foolishly given up on him after a few drops, but I guarantee he's still respected by every defensive coordinator in the league.
I'm more intrigued with what happens over the next 3 weeks on our OL than the receiver corps. We've got talent for says at receiver and that will sort itself. OL is a different story.
