Quote:To call 2-14 on August 29th when the Jags were hyped by everybody and their mother to make a playoff run is pretty damn spectacular to be honest. I have taken shots at SW over the years, but I think I want to send this guy a Christmas present now.
This prediction coming true is absolutely hilarious.
Reading the replies to his prediction is Gold. Pure Gold, Jerry.
Totally, totally. I'm reading this thread and laughing my [BAD WORD REMOVED] off right now. The guy nailed it! On August 29!
Because of this thread I lay the blame for the Jags season directly upon Snowie. :verymad: He is obviously in cahoots with the devil( AKA Dan Marino)

Quote:I saw enough last night with the first unit, yes bengals are a good team. The jags first unit played so bad a pee wee football team would've beaten them last night. This will be a longgggg year again. this is a 2-14 team if we get lucky in a couple games. I can see this team going 0-16 possbilley. they really look like a 2-14 team. i see 2 wins at the most espailley with toughest schedule in nfl. My prediction for this season is 2-14. The head coach has a loseing attudiude which he has given the team now.
Well aren't you quite the prognosticator. PM me your address so I can send you $$ for lotto tix. You pick 'em, I'll buy 'em. 50/50 split.

that has nothing to do with it. I saw the the game vs bengals ,and the team just looked like it had gotton the same loseing attuduide that gus has. it was that simple. all tht talent, and first strign did terrbille that game. it was our 2coned strig againest thier 3r,and 4rth that won that game. sorry i can't help with the lotto tickets.
Considering the timing and circumstances, this could very well be the greatest thread in message board history.
Snowies prediction next year will be met with full respect and gifts. It's going to be spectacular.

snowwolf, from the point of view of most NFL people, the 3rd pre-season game is considered more important for a team than the other 3 pre-season games. If the Jaguars performance against the Bengals was earlier in the pre-season instead, would have you been as concerned/ alarmed about the Jaguars 2016 regular season?

Even if the Jaguars end up winning another game before the end of the season, I totally agree with you.
I got the same bad feeling as SW when watching that Bengals game. I didn't have the foresight to predict 2 wins though. I always figured we would win 6 games this year. I never bought into the 8, 9 wins most people on here had them pegged for

I had hoped that we would at least reach 8-8 given the upgrades (at least on paper) we got. A 2-14 prediction seemed nonobjective at the time and highly unlikely. How wrong I was! Some truly poor draft selections (Bortles as a franchise quarterback, for instance) are now having devastating consequences for this team. If we had only gotten an
average quarterback and upgraded our offensive line, we would probably be at least in contention instead of being eliminated so soon. Our defense isn't great, but they are adequate... if our offense could only keep us in the game.
Selecting high profile targets like JT was a waste of money... the man showed up looking pudgy when he got here! He had no intention from the get-go of coming here and trying to make a difference. We would do much better just staying away from the 'stars' who have nothing to prove and just want a big paycheck for showing up... and instead look for solid 'wart hogs' who have the skills
and are hungry.
Dave... let me repeat that:
(1) look for players with the skill set needed to play at the professional level
(2) shy away from the free agent 'stars' and look for guys who are passionate to win... not just get a paycheck.
We haven't had much luck with high profile free agents... look for the 'wart hogs'.
The season has turned out to be worse than Snowy's prediction. Losing 14 games is bad enough, but to see Bortles implode - that's been the hardest thing to take this season.

I purposely didn't make a prediction this year, because I was concerned that the bottom would fall out. I was in your same mind frame... I thought we would get to 6 wins...
The team completely imploded. Snowy had the guts to say what I think alot of was were nervous about, but didn't want to think through.
I mean, looking back on the season... It seems amazing that we beat the clots in London. We really should just have the 1 win against Chicago.
I'm just glad his predictions in fantasy football and picking NFL games on a weekly basis aren't this good....

I think everybody just assumed the talent would overcome Gus' ineptitude. Nobody could have predicted the entire offense showing up on a milk carton.

That, by far has been the most painful aspect of this nightmare. Other than Bortles' horrific regression, I have no explanation for the offense. It's not just Bortles either. A-Rob and Hurns have disappeared. Why?
I had a twilight zone moment when I saw snowy quote Jagwired 4 times by mistake.
