She does! She said I'm her favorite and even gave me a discount after I tipped an extra $100! Plus she called me sexy. She doesn't just do that for EVERYONE
She told me that she would manage all my bank accounts and assets once i was too old to do so cause her day job is a financial manager. Must be a cool place to work at, since she told me everyone is required to have piercings and full body tats.
Jags are bringing in or being linked to at least three coordinators who are known to play a heavy percentage of man coverage and blitz freely.
If that is where they are headed - do they expect the coordinator to adapt to playing more zone in jax with its lack of man-cover talent ?
Do they expect to overhaul the secondary?
Or do they expect to meet in the middle until personnel can be altered to play man heavy scheme?
Would you trade away Tyson Campbell and let D-Will plus a new nickel, plus a new CB run a man based scheme in year one?

Good questions. Jags hopefully will have those answers this off season. We definitely need to have an aggressive style of defense going forward. That bend but don’t break isn’t cutting it.

I always laugh at "aggressive" defenses when it comes to DCs. I think in the entire history of football no DC has come in and claimed in their press-conference , "I'm going to bring in a much more passive and bendable defense."

You're missing the point
The Jags interviewed a coordinator yesterday who blitzed 22% more than the Jags did in 2023 and runs almost exclusively man.
Jags have zero man coverage specialsts in their secondary.
If they hire a guy who is that much more legitimately aggressive - they have to alter personnel radically unless he radically alters scheme.
And coaches have an array of platitudes to describe less aggressive styles.
"Read and react"
"Limit explosives"
"New plan for every opponent"
"We'll be multiple"
"Tailor scheme to talent"
Etc

This would be an ideal hire at this point. Should also be noted. He did all of that with no pass rush. He had three guys with 6 sacks each. Campbell led the way with 6.5 and Bud Dupree also had 6.
His linebacker's and safeties were very active though, all four of them had over 100 tackles. I would imagine playing on a team with a conservative offense didn't help with rest as well.
Nielson looks like a good candidate. His success with the Falcons can't be denied. Also, players like Cam Jordan and Trey Hendrickson give him much credit for their success.

I get the feeling that he was blitzing so much because he had to. With the luxury of Allen & Travon on the edges he can call more zone. Im more interested in how well he had the Atlanta D playing on 3rd downs and against the run. That's what this D was really lacking in last year.

Here is the thing though, the fact that the Players did not played man well in Cadwell's defense, does not means they can't play man well in other defenses, Cisco and Campbell are young, I think the way the coordinator teaches his defense is also diferent.
My point is: the way the coordinator teaches can also make or break a player and a scheme.

I'd love for you to be right on that - but I'm not too optimistic.
I think they end adding at least one man cover CB to the mix if we go with one of these three DCs that love man coverage

He doesn’t want to stick around Atlanta and coach for the great Bill Belichick?
Belichick would be running the defense so would explain why he can leave now. Might be a flag that they are hiring him
Hopefully we hear some news soon.

If so, I think it would be a huge mistake to hire one of those DC's. We don't need to create more holes on the roster to fill. We need a defensive coordinator that can maximize the talent of our existing players. Our existing players are better suited to zone.

weird it won't link but Dillla says they are interested in Jesse Minter from Michigan.
Would love that. This would be a great hire.
Unless he’s had prior NFL experience, hard pass. Meyer soured me on college —> NFL hires for good

He coached as the Baltimore ravens defensive assistant and d backs coach for 4 years.

Yup.
Him and McDonald run the same scheme.
