Love this team.
Those videos are always amazing!
Such high quality as usual

So damn good
Andy Reid likes the Maason Smith pick  Cool

Great vid. Thanks
Love this series

Well produced, informative, and certainly generates some buzz.
Maason Smith was a Baalke selection?

Never would have guessed.....

Strange takeaway.

That video made it seem plainly obvious that they are going out of their way to agree on all the picks collaboratively.

Trent literally said "WE have to decide whether to go big or go small at 48. You know what my VOTE would be."

He's seeking opinions, not dictating the pick.

Doug's response to taking Smith just before the pick was made: "Awesome"
Then Andy Reid texts Pederson and says "Great pick, dude" and Pederson has a [BLEEP] eating grin relaying the message.

I don't see any way you could spin this as a "Baalke pick" after paying any actual attention to that video.

That's EXACTLY how it went.  The thing the video brought out to me was, how collaborative the draft picks are.  No one is forcing anything.

That wasn't my main takeaway at all but did you hear anyone else pitch another player at 48?

These videos are incredible and I love the behind the scenes look. I do, however, think Maason Smith was a major Baalke selection and Doug saying "awesome" isn't going to change my mind on that. What's he supposed to say? "That guy sucks and you suck".

The team also isn't going to show you if there's inner turmoil or the discussions regarding the pick. How do we know there wasn't more arguments over pick 48?

"Do we go big or small? You know my vote". Then it's essentially them picking Maason Smith.

I actually have given Baalke credit this off season. He's done a good job and the BTJ pick may be my favorite move he's done here as a GM. Kudos there.

 copy that

No idea why you're assuming Baalke forced the pick though. Zero info to suggest that happened and plenty to suggest it did not.

I never said forced lol

I just think he was his guy meaning he was likely the main person vouching for Maason Smith. Doesn't mean he forced it.

Yes he expressed an assumption and an opinion just like you did.

Doesn't give it any merit.

If Trent Baalke was banging the table for Maason Smith and others were opposed, we have absolutely zero information to support that, and quite a bit that says it was collaborative and mutually agreed upon by scouts, personnel executives, coaches and the GM.

Perhaps you missed the scouts' comments while watching Smith at the combine?

No doubt, that 1st round trade back was the best part of this draft. Those extra picks next season will come in very handy and they still were able to select a "potentially" great deep threat for Trevor = something they did not have. I hope Andy Reid is correct about Maason Smith; if he is this draft can be very special.
I'm curious who there 2nd choice was at 1st and 2nd

Terrian Arnold was the other option in round 1. I believe one of the defensive backs was also 2nd option in round 2- either Green or Rakestraw.

Good bet on those being the contingency options.

Pederson was boiling just beneath the surface in this video.  I'm sure he and Reid talk regularly.  Reid probably knows all about Baalke.  The text he sent was probably 100% sarcasm just like this post.
I liked the part when Brain Thomas family was given a tour, and they stopped at Trevor's locker and took pictures.
Great production value and it’s nice to see a behind the curtain look at their thought process.
