Clearly you haven't been around Twitter, the TDS is overwhelming there.

Then…then…they should be cancelled!

Whew, sorry. I was possessed by a leftist spirit temporarily.

I haven't watched the convention, but I did watch a replay of JD Vance's speech, which I thought was quite good, especially the part about his grandmother.

That whoopie has got to be the ugliest damn woman on the planet. Inside and out.

I don't like Whoopi's politics, but she didn't "attack" or "go after" Trump's granddaughter in the clip.  Callesto isn't the only tweet on X I've seen saying this and I just don't see it.  She merely said it was an attempt to humanize him which is the exact thought that crossed my mind when Kai was speaking and which also happens to be good political strategy for any and every politician.  Nothing wrong with it, but also nothing wrong with Whoopi pointing it out as such (and I realize she's said some dumb [BLEEP] in her time).  Let's not turn into the party of faux outrage.
Trumps speech was meh, and the rnc was cringe. He's still better than any choice we have, but I do worry about his narcissism getting the better of him as it pertains to the establishment.

It was cringe. Hated the Hogan thing in particular. Just stop. Stop. Very bread and circuses of them. I don't think we'll get more than half of what Trump's promising. At this point, I'll just hope the economy improves, inflation dips, bills and groceries are affordable and material costs are down for a little while.

I don't expect the wall. I don't expect mass deportation and I don't expect a major change in geopolitics outside of the obvious one, Ukraine and Russia more than likely coming to an end. I could see a conflict with Iran arising, and, if they're able to pin this assassination attempt on them somehow?

It gives this administration some freedom to address it as they see fit with probably little friction or interference from Russia and/or China feeling the need to get involved. For Middle Eastern expansion while drawing back and away from Putin's eastern border.

That's about as good as it will probably get over the next four years Geopolitically.

I agree with you. The tweet was clickbait. You would have thought Whoopi called her a little wicked witch of the golden trump tower or a bimbo barbie in the making with that headline.

If anything though, and, unsurprising, she seems out of touch with her views. "I don't know any man or woman that likes the way he talks in particular" and "I have faith in the American citizen". Wrong on both counts. Otherwise, you wouldn't have the platform you have now and you wouldn't bring it up to begin with.
I absolutely loved it.. It was a celebration of a finally unified party.

Can't please everyone.

Cosby was not a pedo.  He raped fully grown women.
Now you have Blinken revving up more Iran talk. "They're capable of producing fissile material for a nuclear weapon within one or two weeks" and the MIC/Globalist's, oops, I mean, the US, obviously, they won't allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons.

Here we go again with the WoMD narrative that got us into war with Iraq and the claims ended up being completely wrong. Trump's fixing to be sandbagged, literally, sandbagged with a mess before he steps foot in office next year.
Funny thing. I was doing a bit of analysis after Trump said he would solve the inflation issue. I came to the conclusion he could easily. Just get the price of gas and diesel back to where it was when he was president. Inflation peaked at 8% average in 2022, the same time diesel averaged $5.00 that year. Inflation has fallen as the price of diesel has declined.

Yup.  Trump loves America so he will pick up the magic wand in the right top drawer of the resolute desk and cast the "lower gas prices" spell.  Biden hates America so he won't.
I didn't watch the whole convention, but then again who in their right mind with a life would?  I just picked and chose which parts I wanted to see and watched them on YouTube.  For the most part, it appears to me that the Republican party is unified and excited for the upcoming election.

I did watch President Trump's speech and thought that it was pretty good, though a bit long.  He acknowledged and thanked a lot of people, then laid out his vision for the future.  I really don't think that I disagree with anything that he has to say.

As I felt in 2020, I feel that this should be a landslide victory for him and the Republican party.  I just don't see the enthusiasm or optimism for the future coming from the democrat party.  That is one thing that has always stood out to me over the years between the democrats and Republicans.  Starting with Ronald Reagan the message has always been optimistic.  By contrast, democrats always seem to be very pessimistic, bitter and divisive.  The Republican message has always been "you can achieve" while the democrat message is "we will give you".

I loved her in Rat Race. She was a different person then. Liberalism destroyed her like a lot of others that were once great.

That is exactly what Trump will do. That is a simple fix. The most simple of them all.
