Good:
Surprising DE depth play...Gipson, Abdullah, Coleman, and others were hustling and making plays.
Walker Little...I want Harrison back but Little has become a very good and valuable swing tackle.
Gabe Davis...he gets open and is a big target.

Bad:
BTJ...the rookie did not separate at all in his routes, it will need to develop and change.

Ugly:
Fortner...nice guy but he continues to be a liability.

I was wrong....thanks for the tape
Good: Rhythm and communication. The offense moved the ball, the Defense made some splash plays and all 3 units seemed in sync.

Bad: Ball Security, we can't beat ourselves this year and that starts now in preseason.

Ugly: Offensive line. Missing starters or not, they need to be able to get push in the run game and buy Trevor some kind of time without pressure pouring up the A gaps.

For Short yardage I had been musing the idea of kicking Cam Robinson inside to Guard for a play; if we don't have a strong NFL caliber line across the board, might as well just put our best 3 Run blockers together in Robinson-Morse-Scherff and then either sneak or blast it through the A-gaps. We're not fooling anyone in short yardage and getting cute bites you pretty often, just line up and whoop the guy across from you, both sides know where we're going with the ball, its just execution and who wants it more from there.

Cleveland is a better run blocker than Scherff though. I think you could see Foster or Tugboat bounce inside for jumbo stuff, so it's not a crazy idea at all.
Hodges and Edmunds looked damn good. Hopefully they get extended playing time vs the Bucs

I didn't see Edmunds take any special teams snaps, which is important if he's stepping in for Dewey. Actually, I'd worry about that with any of these older safeties they've brought in, they are all lacking there based on their histories.
How do we feel about Lloyd switching to MLB? Not sure he looked very comfortable out there.

I don't care for it, I think he's an outside backer in a 34. Foye is the man in the middle. Having said that, I think with the weight gain he'll make a good SAM in this set.

I think he can play OLB or MLB.  Im not moving Foye.  Reports are he has looked very good at practice.  He's played a few series in 1 preseason game in a new defense lol
