Jags the only team in the league that hasn't announced the play caller lol.
That just means it's probably going to be Press and they're not giving the local media any fodder before they have to if they even have to.

And they’re not playing the equivalent of 20 games if they come in for a few quarters during the preseason. Midseason form is a thing. You get there faster in my opinion by playing some in the preseason. Some guys in the league played 0 snaps in the preseason and not because they were dealing with injury.
I think the primary reason guys are held out is because of what I said previously about the risk being greater being on the field with guys that are doing everything they can to make the 53 and get that salary guaranteed. If the two squads or the league in general would agree to something like 1’s go against 1’s for 1 drive in preseason game 1, 2 drives in game 2 and 2 quarters in game 3, I think it would reduce that risk down the line. We kinda did that this year except for we did 2 drives in game 1 and I know Lawrence didn’t play in game 2, but don’t recall how many other 1’s didn’t play. The Falcons ran their 2’s out there against us in game 3 though.
This will be my last back and forth on this who cares topic. Not trying to be rude. The starters get ready by playing a limited amount of snaps in preseason games. The rest is to see which backups will stay and which will be cut. You’re focusing on just the starters instead of the entire team which is why you don’t understand.
Well I'm glad we settled that.

Agreed. Caught some of Doug's coach talk yesterday with Lageman and Shadrick.
He emphasized that they took a really good look this off season with the running game, simplified it with Rauscher and he reiterated what a lot of us have said.
The offensive line was a shanty town last year with drifters in and out of it, with the exception of Pillow Fortner who kept his lanes wide open like a pimp with the only brothel in said shanty town.
The left side is starting off with an upgraded tandem of Cam and Ezra. Morse brings the upgrade in the middle and we had Scherff and Anton from last year coming in together for year two.
This unit up front should be better. They did get pushed a bit in preseason. Notably against the Chiefs. But, it is the Chiefs. Etienne, and more importantly, Bigsby, they both ran with what felt like more conviction.
Run game should be better. Schedule is also softer. We'll see in a few more days.

His first 15 plays scripted would include a chair shot to the head, followed by a neck brace, then a laptop smashed into a defender with a surprise appearance of Chris Jericho, and then a stunner in the middle of the field with a beer can chug.
They use tablets on the sidelines, not laptops. What is it, 1997?

Mein gott I can still hear the drunk behind me screaming for play action when we were averaging 1.5 yards a carry, and I haven't had my season tix in over 15 years.

No you’re thinking of Dave in row P. Dave in row R is a fan of the wishbone and the triple option.
tell me Dave attended OhioU in the 90s without telling me Dave attended OhioU in the 90s

good luck with that one. They'll write it off as [other team] had a catastrophic injury that eliminated their chances and we won by default or that we are the luckiest team in the biz and defied the odds to get there.

But I really hope that our Offensive play calling presents a bit more creativity this year than last year.
One of the biggest differences from Dougs first season to Press’s last year in the play calling is that last year we seemed to be pretty stale with traditional run game and quick game / screens mixing in a few downfield shots.
First year we had more unbalanced formations misdirection in the run game and a few gadgets…
Not saying we major in it but we have the weapons and speed to be creative with how we get our guys the ball.
Not saying we don’t have our favorite runs, play action and drop back … but just give defenses more to prepare for and possibly help generate more explosive plays.
We had no time other than to run quickly-developing plays. You lose a big part of the playbook when you have a gaping hole in the middle of your offensive line. That should improve this year and offer opportunities to mix up the play calls.

EVERYONE IN THE LEAGUE ALREADY KNOWS WHO IT IS. 91% of the board know who it is. The other 9% are coming out of a 5-year coma.

It'll be Press but I think Pederson wants him close to him so he can oversee it even more.
Either way, BTJ 65 yard TD!
Ramsey might not play
I think we win this game. We have to run the football effectively and pressure Tua.

Ayeeeee! That's a familiar name. I remember mocking him in RD7 a few times for fun to us with Myles Cole. Don't sleep on the Duck man. He made their roster as an UDFA. Must have worked really hard at it.

MS Surfaces are laptops.
It's actually both, as it has a detachable keyboard. But they use them as tablets in the game.

Yeah I would consider the ones they use tablets. They do make an
actual surface laptop without a detachable keyboard
Looks like Ramsey is back in.

It'll be a very good test for BTJ to go against Ramsey in his first NFL game. If he cooks him? BTJ to the moon.
