Just saw the body cam footage and curious on people's thoughts.  I felt cops were 100% in the right here. Why would he roll his window up? Lucky he wasn't shot.

I only saw the video yesterday when he was already out of the car.  Given his history, I have no doubt that he was uncooperative and got a little mouthy with the cops.  Putting him in cuffs was correct procedure.  Player status and proximity to the stadium are completely irrelevant.

What's surprising (and disappointing) was learning that Calais Campbell got involved and was also temporarily put in handcuffs during the incident.  I thought he was smarter than that.

Campbell clearly did not help the situation and also resisted the cop asking for ID. Was the cop aggressive? Sure, but Tyreek was uncooperative and escalated the event.

Not sure why anyone would want to be a police officer these days.

It's a polarizing event on social media. Different people see different things.

I wouldn't say "lucky he wasn't shot" but I from what I saw the cops did nothing wrong. You roll your window down when you see them walking up. You keep it down until they walk away. Tyreek said he did nothing wrong because his mom taught him not to curse at cops, but there's more to life than simply not saying bad words.

2 idiots made this happen

Tyreek broke the law by speeding and whatever else he was charged with. He didn't roll down his window. Then got mad and mouthed off when the cop tapped on it. Not sure if the cop could even see into the car with the reflection and tint. Then he rolled it back up multiple times.

The cop then drags him out of the car because he was acting like a child and moving as slow as possible. The cop is right as it isn't safe to not be able to see the drivers hands. Dragging him out of the car crossed the line as it didn't need to be done and the cop wanted to teach him a lesson.

For the handcuffs, they do that to anyone when they don't know who is being arrested. Anyone getting involved in a normal situation is getting cuffed and sat down until they figure it out.


Both of them caused this. Tyreek needs to admit he was wrong and apologize. That could then turn it around on the cop and hopefully show people what you shouldn't do when dealing with a cop. You can fight it afterwards but you aren't going to win against a cop in the moment.

He's full of BS.  That stupid handcuff celebration yesterday after the TD just demonstrates that it was all a joke to him.

I don't get it either.  Tyreek and all the media state that Tyreek was fully cooperative, which definitely was not the case.

When society is siding with Tyreek, you know this country is in trouble.

Dude was being a complete [BLEEP]. Sometimes lessons need to be taught. With blacked out windows the officer had no idea if there was a weapon being retrieved by the occupant. Never the less there will be every attempt to ruin these officers career.

We live in a country where damn near half of all voters will vote for kakala. This is the reason. In our country today half the people out there simply do not adhere to the opinion that police officers are to be listened to. Kakala is on record as a de-fund the police politician. They believe the police are the problem. Her supporters feel the police are the problem.

How can there be "change" when you are intentionally not complying after having broken the law? What "change" are you asking to come from this? That you are allowed to break the law, then disrespect a police officer potentially putting his life at significant risk in future situations if your behavior is allowed to be the norm going forward? What change? Anarchy?

Cops have to be allowed to control the situation when someone is detained. If the detainee is intentionally not allowing for that control, you have to wonder what else are they capable of and take appropriate action/escalation. Fame changes the dynamic here a bit, I realize that, as Tyreek has a lot more to lose in the court of public opinion that Joe Schmo does, but that doesn't (or shouldn't) give a famous person carte blanche to treat an officer however they want. If your rights are trampled, sue afterward. Otherwise, comply and get your ticket (or potentially less if you're not giving the cop a hard time) and move along and everyone goes on with their lives.

I had actually put Tyreek's past in the past and forgiven him to some extent, but this dude is still very much a piece of work apparently.

A fine will be just a joke to him.  Community service could be an eye-opener when he gets his day in court (Though he doesn't strike me as a quick learner).   I doubt the NFL will have the guts to sit a star player for a game.

I don't think the cops were 100% in the right. I think they escalated the situation aggressively and unnecessarily. Hill should have rolled down his window when told though.

Rolling up a tinted window at a traffic stop is escalating the situation as is not complying with an officer's multiple requests to keep it rolled down.

It was a sudden shift from the cop saying "keep your window down" to yelling "GET OUT OF THE CAR NOW!!" but that's human. Humans sometimes go from normal voice to yelling real fast.  No one pulled a gun or a tazer so I'm not going to criticize the cops as much as I criticize Tyreek.  
Why did Tyreek think he gets to tell the cop how to do his job? "Don't tap on my window man" "just give me my ticket and go man." That's not how it works! The cops making you late is part of your punishment if you are pulled over for speeding.
