Maybe. Could be the loon was camped out in the woods just waiting for the next opportunity expecting it would be coming within a few days or so as well or perhaps he had been visiting the same spot daily for some time. I'm grateful he was apprehended prior to getting off a shot, but he did get within 300 to 500 yards of Trump with a scoped rifle. That could still be considered a win for other like minded mentally ill individuals. This is still another SS failure as it's more likely the moon bat inadvertently outed himself in the woods by not fully camouflaging his gun's barrel or moving around too much and drawing visual contact on himself than it is great reconnaissance work by the SS here. It sounds like they were securing areas hole by hole as he was playing through which seems ridiculous to me. Perhaps the acting SS head might also ought to step down over this.

Just having a perimeter patrol is fundamental and would have made a difference. The USSS is not looking good right now.
