If we are 1-6 this coaching staff is gone.
I have a feeling we bounce back this week
Vs the Bills? yeah right. We are about to start 0-4
That's exactly the kind of teasing win we get from the Jags. Then they lay another egg the next week.
Team is lifeless. It needs a spark. Since Doug has been here. It's an all or nothing streak with them.
At some point, they'll get on a win streak again. May or may not happen starting with the Bills.

It’s an offensive league now. For some reason, we haven’t got the memo.
jags are on a 3 game loseing streak going back to last season. Lost to tittians to end season, and lost first 2 games this season.

Get a chunk play here and there but Press Taylor is just running plays. It’s like he’s not adjusting to what the defense is showing. He needs some bread and butter plays that works. There was some pre-snap motion here and there but I didn’t see any confusion within the Browns defense. The motion or double motion once the other guy gets set, and some bunch formations will force them to soften the coverage. If they are in man, you can get a guy to run free across the field, if they are in zone you can hit some quick stuff across the board.
But once Trevor gets the football from the gun, the coverage is different and that’s the recipe on how to beat Lawrence.
I would like a similar offense to what Tagovailoa has down in Miami. Quick passes, get the football out and into your playmakers hands and let them go to work. Take calculated shots down field, work the running game, the RB screen to slow down the pass rush. Scheme up a nice WR screen to our 4.3 guy. Get the TE some work between the hashes.
To summarize: The reason Press is a bad playcaller is because he can't or won't adjust for his bad quarterback.

We are capable of offense, but we have no identity. It's 11 guys doing individual things, rather than a cohesive unit moving across the field.
I don't get it. If we want to lean into the run game, DO IT. Darft road graders and pound the rock down the D's throat. If we want to be spread out and built for speed, DO IT. We just seem to be a mishmash of dudes that all look great on paper, but when the game starts, nobody has any idea how plays work, or what they're supposed to do. It's embarrassing.

Decades of experience. It's also why I drink heavily on Sundays.
It doesn't even hurt anymore. It's just something we do with our friends on Sunday. Potluck, nickel, dime quarter poker then watch the Jags lose and when the beer cooler is empty we all go home.

Did u eat salmon
Extra portions needed
Inflation is getting the best of the Jags. Who the heck can afford salmon anymore. Should have based our winning on tilapia, not salmon.

Dude, I just want some accountability. Change up the O-Line. Get rid of an offensive coach. Bring in a new OC. Do something to change up what's happening.
I've started watching the WNBA since Caitlin Clark. Namely to say, I watch the Indian Fever. They were so bad early in the season. Some of that doing with the schedule they got. But the coach also made changes in terms of who got minutes.
They have this one Guard, Erica Wheeler. The Fever started the season with Wheeler and Clark in the back court. But Wheeler and Clark were not conducive together. So they switched out Wheeler for Kelsey Mitchell. They also started playing more aggressive and started Lexie Hull as the 3 position. So they basically changed up the entire roster, going more towards guards. They became faster and more dynamic. Instead of slowing down the game, which wasn't what worked with Caitlin Clark, they decided to adapt to their best player.
Our best player on offense in Lawrence. The fact that we don't give him the ball on 1st or 2nd down is the problem. Defenses are just waiting for us to run up the middle. And then they can blitz on 2nd down when they know it's a throwing down. And rinse and repeat on 3rd down.
This coaching staff has had 3 years to figure out our strengths and weaknesses. And we are still doing the same dog gone thing. At some point you have to hold these coaches accountable for not changing up what has continuously failed.
I rarely agree with you carp8dm, but I gotta say I think you’re spot on here.
We do have Mike McCoy on the staff, a former HC. If we can't get this thing going on offense I'd like to see McCoy call plays

We're two weeks in. Heads won't roll that quickly. We may see some tweaks along the way, but the change you're talking about is more post-season upheaval.
I honestly think the team is not looking to be a shoot for the moon type team. We are leaning on the defense, they are doing their part, but we are inept offensively because we either have no idea how we want to offense, or we are trying to offense with the wrong personnel or situation (see safety). They want close games, lean on the run, grind out kind of wins. Are we capable of shooting for the moon? Maybe not, with this line, except in strategic places. Job one is figuring out based on who we have, what can we do, and how can we do it best. Radical change of personnel or coaching isn't happening now, that was for 5 months ago. At this stage, it's working with the ingredients in the cupboard.
At this point, it is on the coaches to figure things out. If they don't, you're right, they should be accountable by season's end for the work they've done (or failed to do).

We lost 7 out of 8 games last year and come out the gate with 2 more losses. That’s almost a full season of losses.
Trevor is an average QB we paid franchise money to. Potential is just unrealized gains, he’s getting dangerously close to the B word.
Our lines suck, and we paid big money to the ends and they suck on both sides of the ball. Josh and Walker were playing against backups and a washed out QB.
Our secondary is like Swiss cheese there’s so many holes.
ETN is a frail fumble prone back. Tank is off the tracks with one good game that he still failed to make enough impact for a win.
Kirk has disappeared, still sainting on Gabe to show up. Maybe BTJ would be something but our coaches are bound to screw him up.
We have a bad roster with bad talent we’ve over paid for. Good talent doesn’t go 1-9, ever.
Here’s to another rebuild next year this team is washed.
Hope I’m wrong but I don’t see it. I see gene smiff level garbage out there!
I agree with a lot you say and compliment you on saying it. Get ready to face the blind hardcore homers though. They will start with childish insults.

Good grief you’re a pain in the [BLEEP].
I’ll tell you what. I’ll bet you my entire life savings that they don’t go 0-17. Until then, just stop saying stupid [BLEEP].

They're in a funk, and other teams have picked up on tendencies.
Pederson needs to change a lot of things up to eliminate the tendencies.
Also the D played better the last 2 games than they did for most of 2023.
+1
The offense has been outcoached/schemed the last two games.
This isn''t a Press Taylor issue. It's a Doug/Press "scheme" issue. Whatever the Jags are trying to do, teams with halfway decent defenses have found a way to blow it up. I've seen at least 4 plays each game where the Jags have multiple offensive linemen on the ground without a defensive player under them. They don't finish blocks...as if the idea is always to quick block...then release their defender and WATCH WHAT TREVOR DOES.
I also think Gabe is playing at 75% and Christian is at 85%. Neither looks like they are firing off the line of scrimmage.
