He's the second winningest HC in franchise history, dude. By the end of this year he might be first. Relax.

In total wins, yes.
In overall win percentage (winningest), no, he's not. He's 3rd.
1st - Coughlin at .531
2nd - Pederson at .529

Basically, Doug's been the better "bang for your buck" so to speak, and he's only been here for two seasons and one month of football. Even more wild when you consider the 0 - 9 slump they're in.
Probably a mistake in getting rid of him. I think a conversation should take place if they turn things around and manage to be on the + side of .500 again somehow or damn near close to it.
I think you axe Baalke and replace him with a new GM and possibly a VP before that. You then let that VP decide what's best for Doug and the team if Khan decides to stay out of the way out of it.
Pederson probably deserves another chance in my opinion. You might give him a shorter leash with Taylor on offense. At the minimum, it feels like Rauscher has to go.

Do you see progress from anyone on the line? Replace players, sure, but if you don't give them proper tutelage, they are going to stagnate or decline...which seems awful familiar with the guys we've brought in over the recent years.

One interesting point is that if Doug's team lost the rest of the games this year (0-17 record) and then did the same thing next year (0-17 record), he would still have about 50% more wins than Bradley had in his four years with the team. Ponder that a bit.

I have. Since FSG mentioned the winningest coach percentage statistic from yesterday. Coming back down from the ledge a bit after three close and competitive football games and one blunder.
When people keep saying he's lost the locker room, I don't believe it. I actually believe Doug. I believe Trevor.
If he had truly lost the locker room, how do you go from that beatdown in Buffalo, on a short week, with rough weather to practice in, back on the road to Houston, and you had the same situation essentially with the lead in the second half from a combination of week 1 and week 2?
So much BS out there right now from the media and armchair analysts spit balling nonsense on X/Twitter. This team has been hit hard on defense with injuries. This offense has lost a primary role player in Engram. They're getting good output from second year players in Strange and Bigsby. They're getting a little bit better each week in blocking across the board.
All of this was self evident in Houston. So, time to relax a bit. I truly feel they're fixing to win at least the next three football games and we'll go from there when they're back in the states with a 3 - 4 record. It's baby steps at the moment. You're in a hole, it's big, but, it's not impossible to climb out of.
Get back to .500 and the media will be like Lucy with some splainin' to do.

Harrison is the only one fair to judge and he's in the SophoSlump it seems. Robinson hasn't changed in the 7 years he's been here and Scherff is broken down. Morse is playing well and Cleveland looks more like his old self now that he's healthy. I would still like to see a new LT and RG before the season is lost, I think it would certainly help in the run game.

Harrison has regressed. Scherff has been falling off the face of the earth. Cam is Cam, just not good enough. Morse has done well, but it's his first year. The arguement that he will get worse next year is not one you can dismiss out of hand based on the current trajectory of this staff's developmental abilities of players.
But man, the regression of Harrison is damning. This staff can't develop players. It's time for a new staff that can do better.

I guess you've never heard of the Sophomore Slump? It's a pretty well documented phenomenon is all pro sports.
I expect Morse to get worse next year, he's old, just like Scherff already is. And Cam has been the same through 3 coaches now, he's just average. None of those 3 should be in any discussion about development or regression

IMO the only reason the Jags should stay with Pederson is if they can't find an upgraded coach. Once the Lawrence contract was signed, finding a coach and system where he can thrive in should be priority number 1. I know the team was more competitive against the Texans, but if you take away the muffed punt the offense only put up 13 points, Trevor only threw for 169 yards, and had a completion % of 54.5.
I also think Baalke has go no matter what happens. I imagine a scene, Draft Day style, where Kahn walks into the draft room and erases any players that don't have an OT, OG, and C next to their name.
