It'll be fine. The world isn't going to end and that Trump has no interest in remaining President after 4 years. Heck, he only ran to prove a point that he is a winner. He'd rather be spending the next 4 years on the golf course rather than the Whitehouse. But, he didn't want to go out a loser, especially when the nature of the loss was questionable.

I agree. He's not going to personally remain President. He will let his second term end normally as long as is alive at the time (and I pray he's not assassinated, by the way. And if he died naturally it wouldn't change things at this point).
My concern is that he will be motivated by hate or vanity to try to set things up in a way that Republicans can never lose again. I'm not talking about filibusters or supreme court seats. Those are the kinds of rules changes that the competition can adjust to. I'm talking about lawfare, precisely what Putin uses to stay in power, and precisely what he accused the Dems of trying. He will try to retaliate against what NY did to him, and he should, but it should stop there. The next generation of politicians need to be allowed to compete without threats from the current DoJ. Don't just pass the torch. Pass all of the torches.

This is not an easy one. The rule makers, you probably want at least some of them to rotate in and out so they know what's going on in the industry, but the investigators and administrative judges and enforcers, you want the opposite. They need to be lifers, career government workers, not revolving door people.
This kind of goes against some of what Trump implied on the campaign trail, though. He always talked about firing people, not about keeping the good ones around.

His first 4 years he was new to Washington. He made mistakes trusting the wrong people. He had to spend most of his time defending himself from a piece of fiction written about him and paid for by Hillary. He was not able to pick his cabinet being handcuffed by the Dems at every turn. It took forever to even get them approved. This time he has a plan going in, things should move along at a pretty good clip. At least that is my hope.

I have taught my kids in life there are filters. We make decisions and those decisions decide when and if we can pass through them. We progress in life by passing through these filters. The drug filter takes some, alcohol others, lack of effort to learn, etc. The women that jump on that bandwagon have just followed the leader based on emotion. The filter has caught them. That is until they can clear the filter. Natural selection at it's best.
