Hey guys, what are your thoughts on your main goals for the Jaguars for the the rest of the season? This is excluding the obvious of having the coaching staff and GM fired. For me, the main thing I want to see is Brian Thomas Jr. get over 1000 yards. I also want tank to have some nice Bounce back games when he comes back from injury. Regarding Trevor, I want him to rest up and get healthy and not try to rush back for in last season. What are the main things you wanna see happen with the remaining games?
No injuries that will cause future decline in core players and no meaningless wins damaging our draft position.
Honestly just no serious injuries to any key players. Lawrence, btj, travon, allen, etc..
Want all the key players to get a full offseason with the new coaching staff
Hard to pinpoint. At least in the other garbage eras, we had MJD to get the NFL rushing record for the year.
This seasons a wrap, all of our star players are injured. BTJ with 1000 would be nice but I don’t need to see that for my satisfaction. Would rather see all these guys leave the season injury free.

Health.
Full Stop.
Stats don't mean dook when you're 2-9.
I don't expect anyone to develop, we ain't seen that in 2.5 years, what would change? I don't expect the offense or the defense to suddenly figure out the magic formula for productivity.
I don't care about reps, because if we do change regimes, it will end up a new set of plays, a new philosophy and now you have to unlearn what was drilled into your head over meaningless weeks of phoned-in play while you tried to stay off IR.
We just gotta run out the clock on this season. Get to the final whistle, stay free of injury, lick your wounds and prepare for the next go.
I don't really care about stats. Especially when the win and loss column is ugly. Look at Joe Burrow and the Bengals. He's basically playing like an MVP this year as a Quarterback and they're probably going to more than likely lose more games and not even be in the wildcard discussion. Would rather have Lawrence playing like Mahomes this year with an 8 - 1 record.
BTJ getting 1,000 yards would be nice, if it means this team wins a few more games in the process of course. If it's just like last Sunday though where we're down 30+ points and he's reaching out and making big grabs while giving his body up for abuse? No thanks. The goal for me this year? Keep the cornerstone pieces and players HEALTHY for 2025 and next summer's new installment and coaching change with a new culture being injected into the city again.
We're more than likely going to see Kirk and Etienne shipped off. All the more reason to keep guys like BTJ and Bigsby healthy. I would even throw Engram's name out there on the trading block with Strange emerging. Would rather see guys like Washington get more real time action this year at WR and Maason Smith at this point as a 2nd RD investment. Can't be any worse than what we're getting out of the starters in front of him.
Any Given Sunday turned into Every Damn Sunday..
I would like them to win, I hate tanking. I say try to win the rest of the games and see what can happen. Don’t underestimate how good winning feels every Sunday for the rest of the yearr. The schedule gets normal now after death row is finally over. on a sidenote, I haven’t heard whether Trevor Lawrence is going to be able to come back.. if it’s gonna be Jones, he better start playing a whole lot better because he’s a disgrace so far.
Get the #1 pick. Nothing tangible to play for now. Play the long game.

This.
I prefer winning too. I just cannot see going out and playing any game not caring if I won or lost. Kind of disrespectful to the game as a whole. Nothing wrong with others feeling different but that is just me.
It could also increase the risk of a player getting hurt.
fight from the leaders on this team.
Have a standard and play up to it regardless of the record
To reach a goal, a goal line must be crossed. We don’t do that.

Point is, we've been trying all season.
This is what we look like when coaches have an owner publicly declare this to be the best roster assembled, postseason is the goal, and we can't move a football for entire first halves.
We got guys out there that don't understand coverage assignments and teams run up and down the field over us.
It hasn't been tanking, but even if we start tanking, would you even notice the difference?
This is a lost year for the whole defense. Nielsen has them out of position and in wrong matchups nearly full time. Hopefully all the guys coming back next year forget most of the experience. It would be nice to see what Maason Smith can do but I'm sure he will be mis-used if he ever makes it on the field.
The O is where the only interesting things are happening. Will Tank recover from his injury and repeat his early season performance? Will BTJ continue to look like a pro bowler? Will Walker Little settle in as the left tackle of the future? Will Anton improve? Those are things that will translate to next year. Armstead playing DE while Ronald Darby plays corner and Antonio Johnson plays safety, that's nothing to really build on. Even looking at Foye and Miller, not much to see when the D line in front of them is playing like wounded puppies.

The Walker Little situation is pretty odd. If the Jaguars have drafted their LT of the future, they certainly didn't treat Little that way. Not starting him at LT regularly until his contract year doesn't make any reasonable sense.
The Jags don't need to tank at all. The lack of talent and poor coaching will take care of any of that talk..

Probably the sense and reasoning behind it being done.
In response to the OP:
Get a first down conversion
Stop a first down conversion
Go from there
