Khan is much smarter than me and everyone on this board in certain aspects but very low IQ in others. An analogy I would compare it to is A Brain surgeon maybe the brightest man in the room but I may not trust him to repair my engine. Meaning everyone has their areas of strengths and weaknesses. It is clear as day to anyone who has a solid football IQ but Khan has shown time and time again that he is going to go his own path. The problem is the Khan path has failed to work .
Khan has a history of ignoring the fan outcries. The clown mask fell on def ears. It is no coincidence the team has the worst record of any NFL team by a long shot since he has owned the team. 62-145 is an accomplishment that is almost impossible to do in a league designed for parity. BAD Gm's, bad coaches, bad results, while slow to react or make a change. I remember the fan outcries of firing Dave Caldwell and Khan stayed the course, I remember the outcries of Ice Cream Bradly and Khan stayed the course, the terrible Urban Meyer move, the way Tom Coughlin was handled, the consistent way Khan never cleans house. The New Regime gets poisoned from the remains of the old regime so the culture never changes
So The Question is Will Khan finally make a clean sweep?.
Think a half glass full type move
Anyways, any chance this could go in the 50 other khan and coaching firing threads up atm

What are you basing this assertion on?
Doug is gone, but Khan will keep Baalke. That's a half measure in my book.
I'll believe the clean sweep when I see it.
If we keep the GM I fear for the dregs that we have to pick from at HC.
I think he’ll do it. He said before the season that the time for winning was now. Baalke failed and Doug failed. Shad will fire the whole staff and get a new guy to run the team including hiring a new coaching staff. He’ll wait until Black Monday to do it though.

Lol

No clean sweep. Let's reminisce on an article from 2020, when everyone wanted Caldwell fired-
https://1010xl.com/post/shad-khan-doesnt...re-awhile/
Boy, sure does sound familiar doesn't it? Same exact situation right now. Oh, and let's not forget, Trent Baalke was ALREADY employed by the Jags front office. Baalke was a PROMOTION to GM, not a new hire. Just want to clarify- CLEAN SWEEP means- EVERYONE GOES. GM, scouting/personnel department, and coaches. If Baalke is let go, expect Ethan Waugh to be promoted from within.
This season isn't just about the Jags being 2-10. Shad has been embarassed and someone like him likely doesn't enjoy that. You can't come out and say this is the best team assembled and then go 2-10.
It'll be a clean sweep and we just have a few more games to go before that happens. Then we shift our attention to Vrabel (who might take the Jags job just to play the tacks twice a year), Ben Johnson or Liam Coen. Then we shift our attention to Ray Agnew or Ian Cunningham.

I agree. They also do not give advance warning to those they are about to replace or upgrade. One thing Kahn needs to understand unless you get extremely lucky or are the Ravens/Steelers the job of managing the GM/HC position is never completely done.

This is what I expect as a best case scenario. If we win a couple down the stretch, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Doug survive.

So if they're 2-15, Doug gone with Baalke staying but 4-13.... They keep everyone?
Come on now. A couple meaningless wins does nothing for this group. They are all gone and I would bet anyone that they are all gone.
I personally don't want A Clean Sweep to happen. Our D is ranked 32nd. and our O is ranked 30th. if I'm not mistaken. Our team needs new coordinators not a new HC. But if it's decided that we will jump back in the ring for another complete change, the pickings will be slim other than Chicago's OC to be our HC.
I just don't feel that an complete change over every 3-4 years is the answer to our problems.
Time Will Tell.

There hasn't been a clean sweep in almost 10 years. Marrone was an assistant HC under Bradley. Bradley was fired an then Marrone was interim. Then went on to be HC. Baalke was here with Caldwell. Then Caldwell was fired and Baalke moved into the GM role. Then they hired Urban. Fired Urban and Baalke stayed. Hired Pederson.
They have not had a clean sweep since Caldwell and Bradley were hired.
Also, it's obvious Pederson isn't going to fire Press so there won't be a new OC.
I would not be surprised if they fire the DC and bring everybody else back.
Do we think Vrabel 2.0 would be a force to reckon with? That has promise depending on who is Offensive Coordinator and the philosophy. It is proven in NFL circles that the second stop has massive boom/bust potential. Lets hope we hit and end up with a Pete Carroll or Bellicheat type response instead of the current Doug recycle.

Vrabel is a part of my top 3 along with Liam Coen and Ben Johnson.
Vrabel will make this team play hard and he never had a QB like Trevor. And if the tacks didn't trade away AJ Brown for some dumb reason, he may still be coaching there.
Yea Tennessee was stupid for firing Vrabel. He played LB so makes sense he is hard nose. I thought he did a good job there.
