I must have the laziest guns in the world...... All they do is sit in my closet all day while I'm out doing what I need to do...... they don't go out and kill anyone.......... Guns don't kill, people do........ It takes a physical act by someone to pull a trigger............ And it's the projectile that comes from the weapon that kills, not the gun unless you beat someone over the head with it..........

For example, the Kennesaw effort has demonstrated that widely owned firearms do not prevent crime. If the prevalence of firearms in Kennesaw actually did increase in the form of loaded handguns in households, what do you think happened to the accidental injury and domestic violence rates?

Apparently that simple concept cannot be understood by gun nuts so they relentlessly try to equate firearms with vehicles, knives, stairs, swimming pools, or bananas.

So Sneakers, I haven't got a respond yet. Any word yet on when America used to be great and what exactly caused America to not be great?

If by backup you mean evidence to support the idea that firearm prevalence is a net negative for American society? That is well proven.

The Gun Facts "arguments" are pure nonsense. They purport to disprove "myths" by formulating mythical position statements that are not part of the science of public health. Purely strawman arguments. The Gun Fact statements attempt to "disprove" myths by citing opinion and anecdote.

Starting in the 1770s, many were stolen. Which was a good thing! But then they were pledged to the Continental Army.
