Just need to bring you simpletons some culture on legs and their usefulness.  :-)
Mac Jones is exactly who we need right now to ensure a top 5 draft pick.
He can't throw a deep ball to save his life

That's why 90% of his throws are only 5 yards downfield or less.

Mac checkdown jones
The biggest problem i see with this offense is the lack of a reliable run game. How many times have we seen 2nd down and less than a yard and we see a pass or running wide because they don’t trust the offensive line to get the push to run it up the middle. You draft smaller offensive lineman because you want faster players to be able to block 2nd level defenders.Meanwhile, your running backs a lot of times are being hit in the backfield because the line can’t get any push.

You're way off.

I'm pretty sure it's 91%

I agree.  Passing would be so much easier if we had a running game, our drives would last longer, and we'd score a lot more.  Everything would be better.

I think a major improvement in our running game would require a complete reset at GM and HC, because I think our problems running the ball come from the way we built the team and the type of offense we try to have.

Exactly this. They need to clean house, and draft some road graders in middle of this offense line so they can run up middle, keep the chains moving. In the later rounds they could use a bigger back to convert short yardage, to back up Tank. I also believe,  due to his previous foot injury, Travis should be on the trading block because i believe he has lost a step. All this would make play action a hell of a lot more successful.
We sure needed him. That top 3 pick is looking nice.
The truth is, as long as Mac continues to be relatively turnover free, he should last pretty long in this league as a backup. He is very Chad Henne like.

Since when was Chad Henne turnover free?  Outside of playing us.

I meant more on the "captain checkdown" similarity.

Fast Fact:  Henne has attempted 61 passes in the past 6 years, making $16 million in the process.   Probably well worth it for KC since he drove 98 yards for a TD vs the Jags and saved KC's season on their way to a SB victory.

I was going to come with a hot take.  But honestly... It's just not worth the effort anymore.

Mac Jones is gonna be a great back up.  Sure.  Why not?  Mac Jones can be a new Sam Darnold.  Sure. Why not?

Whatever happens to Mac Jones will happen.  Maybe he'll be the back up on a SB team like Henne did.  Who cares?  They both suck.  I just don't get the point of this discussion.

Yes. Draft run blocking Samoans. Get ETN in hypnotist therapy and convince him that he is not the second coming of Mike Alstott and that he is allowed to bounce outside the tackles to find holes. Lost step or not, this would immediately increase his yards per carry.

You could make a pretty good argument that Jones' INTs were the reasons we lost two of his 6 starts thus far as a Jag.

So... Nah
