Gotta take as many people in the building out of the equation.
I think getting an outside recruiter is a smart move, in Washington's case they got their 2nd choice as Ben Johnson (the 1st choice) didn't show up for his interview. Turned out it worked out for them, and of course getting the right rookie QB certainly helped the process along.

I'm not saying we should, just wonder where people stand on that way of getting a HC.
I will gladly give Minny their picks back for KOC. Think they bite?
Which coach would you pursue? I've heard Stefanski's name, but are the lolBrowns maximizing production from Watson, Winston, DTR?

Yes.
Our 1st rounder for Tomlin.
A 1st rounder for KOC.
A 1st rounder for McVay.
A 2nd rounder for Shannahan.
I think all those GMs would be ridden out of town on a rail if they took those offers.

I haven't mentioned this for a couple months... But I still think we should bring in Boselli as the EVP that is the go between from Shad and the GM/Coaching management.
At this point, it's clear Shad is a patient owner. But it's also clear he is a completely obtuse owner that has no [BLEEP] clue what he's doing. Putting a guy like Boselli in as the EVP would be creating the defacto owner that can then pull the correct strings.
I'm sorry, but at this point, who else do you trust to have the best intererst of Jacksonville and the Jaguars in mind? Tony's the obvious answer to create the transition...
I'm sure everyone that is annoyed with me will pile on about my stupidity or my constant harping. 1st off. I am stupid. But this isn't harping. I've not mentioned this for almost 2 months now. I'm just responding to the discussion being had within this thread.
And just to say one last thing. I have more faith in what Boselli has to say than any other management in that entire building. Why not let him have a chance to do what he does best? What does he do best? He demands people to be accountable. Isn't that what we've all been asking for??? I have no doubt Tony would hold slackers accountable. I have no doubt that Tony would not allow losers to come here just to pick up a pay check.
Tony demands the best. And I have a feeling he'd do what it needs to be done to get the best. Why not give a guy like that a chance????
The more I think about this, the less I like the idea of going with Mike Vrabel. Something just doesn't sit right with me about that potential hiring. There's rumors now anyway that he may end up joining Ohio State. I just think we would probably end up with the same results as Doug Pederson, it would just be potentially the opposite. Defense becomes stout, offense continues to flounder and something just doesn't mesh correctly on that side of the football enough to get them another step or two closer towards a Superbowl.
After how Josh Allen has played since Joe Brady took over last year as the play caller, essentially this year's MVP with his best year by far in terms of taking care of the football while also having no Stefon Diggs to distract him and no defense to really keep the games low scoring wise. I think Brady needs to be on our radar. With the idea of him being the head coach and offensive play caller. I think I am also feeling the same exact way now with Kellen Moore in Philadelphia. The Eagles have been humming along just fine on offense, and, just based on Kellen's various works over the years in different locations?
I think Kellen has shown he might have that next Kyle Shannahan / Sean McVay vibe to him as a head coach and offensive play caller. Somebody that has shown that he can elevate QB play, scheme WR's open, regardless of coverages and also has shown the ability to adequately use his running game available to him. Barkley being primed this season with a career year and potentially breaking a rushing record. That's really good.
Finally, one last name, and, somebody has already floated it around here. Kevin Stefanski with the Browns. If they decide to fire him? I would take a look at him immediately. I liked him years ago when he was leaving the Vikings and he was my preferred coaching candidate at that time. I think the QB situation torpedoed his chances of success and he did get a lot out of Mayfield. It's also hurt him that Nick Chubb cannot stay healthy and the AFC North is just a tough division to win in. I think he's somebody worth considering in my opinion.
On the defensive side of things though? I really wouldn't mind a combination of Mike Borgonzi coming over here as the General Manager from Kansas City along with bringing over Steve Spagnuolo to head coach the team and run the defense as the play caller. If he could hire a good offensive coordinator, maybe Frank Reich for example, maybe even try and pull some skill position coaches down like a Mark Brunell from Detroit for example, to call the offense, that would be ideal as well.
I like the Joe Brady choice. One option that I think should get another look is Brian Daboll, due to experience turning Josh Allen into a top 5 QB.

I don't like him. Granted, it's not his fault he was stuck with Daniel Jones and then having his best player on offense walk for nothing in return to a divisional rival. He just seems like a loose cannon. I get really bad Matt Nagy / Todd Haley vibes from him.

Daboll would make an excellent OC/AHC for Pederson next year. Shades of Frank Reich.

I think that could work
if Pederson is willing to relinquish control of the offense. But then of course you have to ask yourself what does Pederson still bring to the team.
