This defense was never going to be a strong point of this team, so anyone expecting otherwise was wrong in their expectations. These guys are trash on ALL sides of the ball - from the QB down to the 4th string long snapper.

More making the point that the same problems we have now have been the same problems all season. All we've said is that should be factored into the Trevor criticism. But when it's someone else they are legitimate concerns.
Just feels like moving the goalposts to knock Trevor rather than critiquing the team as a whole.

What's sad is the fact that we even ENTERTAIN these sort of conversations about Trevor vs McCorkle/Joe Blow is not really something you expect from a true franchise QB.
As much as Trev's hit leading to his injury pissed me off, he simply wasn't playing good at all IN ADDITION to the other bozos on this squad - and we can't have that at the most important position in the NFL.

They're not mutually exclusive.
The fact that these conversations even exist is an indictment on our franchise QB unfortunately.
Jumps us up to #4 overall as of now, but the Pats still have to play here shortly.

I don't think anyone expected a top 10 D but probably didnt think theyd be this bad but I do agree. Every single player (well except BTJ, Cooke and Little the kicker ) and coach has had a terrible season. No one should be looking back with any pride this year so hard to judge performances too much.
Just can't understand how this team has plummeted so far and the basic mistakes we fixed are back and now we make new ones.
I just truly can't recall a professional defense literally allowing guys this wide open, every single game, multiple times a game.

For me it's the fact that you keep letting the same guy kill you. At some point, before DaVante got up to [BLEEP] 9 catches for 198 yards and 2 TD's. Did it ever occur to Nielsen and his defense that they might want to focus in on him more?

Gus Bradley's career here was pretty brutal man. Way worse than what we've seen this year. This team has at least been competitive in most of their contests. Outside of the Buffalo and Detroit losses they have been in the majority of these games late.
