Yes, it's wonderful that we give the benefits of America citizenship to the offspring of criminals here illegaly. They can enjoy those benefits once they turn 18, before that they should be with their parents in the parents' home country.

Correct, I am a huge proponent of permanent expulsion for those who violate our immigration law. Anyone we deport never gets the chance to return.

Yea !!!  I am glad the judge blocked it.  We need to get this appeal process moving ! As it is it will take at least a year to get it where we want itto get in the process.

This was expected..... The EO was Trumps way of getting the ball rolling so the argument would eventually end up at the Supreme Court to decide one way or another........... Trump is no Dummy, he knew what he was doing.......

Yep ... The guy has had 4 years and a bright group of people to plan.  Notice how the shots of these protest over USAID are all narrow shots. The most I have seen are about 50-100 people. Half are on their phones? What they just round up bystanders and give em 10 bucks each?

I am an "anchor baby". My parents were students here when I was born.

Are you calling them criminals?

Were they here legally or were they here illegally? It's really not all that hard to tell the difference, you guys just have to pretend like it is to make any kind of argument.

The kid is the one you propose to penalize. I mean, if we're going to make people legally responsible for the actions of their parents, I trust you can imagine how that would go.

The parents are responsible for not breaking the law in the first place and putting their kids in the position of being penalized. It's pretty simple.

The child belongs with his or her parents. If the parents are not permitted to be here then the child should be with them where they are permitted to be or the child should be given over to the custodial system and the parents deported. We don't allow children to reside with their parents if they are incarcerated. we likewise can remand the children since their parents clearly cannot bother to follow the law. We've long recognized that there are certain age restrictions on the rights of children, you just wish to ignore them when it's convenient to your misguided and foolish political beliefs. I really do get that you're a dimwit, but I guess someone has to teach you the basics of real life, not that silly land of imagination between your glasses hangers.

FSG and TDoss are confounding two different questions.

A child who is born in one of the 50 states is a citizen, unless one parent is a foreign diplomat or a member of a foreign military. Full stop.

But also,

The general rule "you can't deport a citizen" has an obvious exception. You can deport a citizen, if that citizen is a minor and both of his parents are being deported. Minors do not enjoy the full privileges of citizenship.
That child can come back and enjoy the privileges of citizenship when they turn 18.

Please provide a link to a birthright citizen being denied that right due to age.
