If I ever knew I had cancer and I didn't have long, weed would only be a small appetizer.

I'd be smokin bowls of crack, coke, meth.. And when I was tired and hungry, a big bowl of bath salts with milk..
Quote:The show Weediquette on the Viceland channel shows some interesting results with medical patients.

Isn't Viceland one of the best new channels today? I love all the shows on there, especially Weediquette. Dakota, I definitely you check the show out as they do spend a portion of the season about the helpful benefits of it.
Honestly, you will find great benefit from it. Personally, I've not had a medical condition requiring me to use it because I use it purely for recreational purposes, but I have also used similar to what the doc is trying to prescribe, and it is a fantastic relaxant. Like one mentioned, after busting my [BLEEP] at the gym, it helps me recover too.

If this would be better suited in political,  I have no issue moving it. I considered starting it there to begin with, but flipped a coin.

Whatever you guys feel is best.

Start another thread over there about the political side of it and leave this one here for the medical side of it so that part doesn't get lost in the mix. Id hate to see people stop talking about the medicinal uses of it.
Pain relief, helps patients who struggle with appetite, known to reduce or eliminate seizures, helps sleeping..... etc, etc, etc......

A good friend had a brain tumor removed 2 years ago. The scar tissue from her surgery gives her constant pain and headaches. She lives in NH where medicial marijuana is legal, and was issued a medical marijuana card. I've googled the site she uses to order/purchase her medicine and it's amazing and so professional! They have reviews, which medicine does what, works for what, etc. I think it's 'high' time we get this medicine to the people that need it!

Out here (in the Bay Area) we have something akin to an Uber service for MM. Really weird but convenient I'm sure.

Keeps you from driving under the influence...that's a good idea actually.

Well true, but most people don't drive that much up there already. I avoid it at all cost in that area!

States of Undress is an amazing show on that channel (also available on Roku)

I agree with Bunnie, it's an important topic and it won't be hard to keep the focus appropriate for this forum. Hopefully everyone will understand and cooperate.

I have a friend in Southern California who has her medical cannabis delivered to her front door, no delivery charge.

That's what I mean, it kinda functions like the Uber app, but for delivery.

I wonder if it's the one I was looking at- the odds would be against it though. It had a lot of medical research links on how and why medical marijuana and CBD oil works. There are whole pages for different issues like cancer, depression and anxiety, seizures, etc. I've never thought about the medicinal aspects because it's not something I even thought could be used that way other than to help with pain and mental disorders. Turns out there are a lot of things it's good for.

The amazing thing about it for medical puposes it's it works on things such as seizures that they've not been able to find in modern medicine! Children who suffer with 100's of seizures a day, having zero quality of life, are able to take CBD oil, or some form of THC removed marijuana and are basically cured or at least significantly improved. It's an amazing natural substance.

Sorry, the app is called "Leafly"

This is a clip of Greg Cooper before smoking and after smoking. He suffers from severe multiple sclerosis and ataxia. This clip always seems to open the eyes of even the most anti-drug people I show it to.

There are guys who do that here. It's just classified as recreational not medical.

Sanjay Gupta has done some CNN specials about medical cannabis, one in particular in which he talks about a legal California grower who developed the high-CBD, low-THC Charlotte's Web strain used to make the concentrated oil that is changing so many minds about the medical properties of cannabis. This particular grower developed the strain then discovered they had pounds of the stuff nobody wanted because it doesn't get you high. Then they heard about how the oil is used to help children suffering frequent seizures and now supply it where needed, sometimes at no charge.
