This is great to hear. Agree with everyone else that I hope this means he's got all his demons under country. I really do like me a happy ending. 

 

I made sure I made it home for Fred and I'll do the same for Jimmy. 

All this love for a guy that screwed over Wayne weaver then abruptly quit when he couldn't keep his nose clean after multiple chances. On top of that The Jaguar organization protected him to send him off with some pride only to become a junkie and drive around the streets of jville high off his mind on narcotics. Where's the pride in all that? Bad choice.

I don't care how many narcotics Gimme Sniff took, he was a dang good WR and an absolute class act off the field despite his troubles. Believe it or not, good people get addicted to drugs. He didn't screw Wayne Weaver over, he gave him a decade of elite WR play and tons of jersey sales.

If you are mad at Jimmy for doing drugs, that's your choice, but the man didn't let his issues turn him into a real degenerate like Blackmon.

I'm not mad at all. I'm just surprised the Jaguars think having a habitual liar and junkie joining a supposed elite group named "The Pride" was a good choice. The bar has been set pretty low.

Brunell blew his money on bad investments. He didn't hold the team hostage by holding out to only get dinged over and over for failed drug tests and subsequently retiring because of said drug addiction. Jimmy flat out lied then had the Jaguars org put on a dog and pony show for his surprise retirement. The truth is I like jimmy smith as a player. But he doesn't belong in a group called the pride. In my opinion when you think of a player in the pride you should feel proud. When I think of jimmy in the pride I think oxymoron.

I will find a way to be at that game.

As a player he deserved to get in, as a person in the time era he does not deserve to be in.

I understand that you have a differing opinion than mine. It obviously hurt your feelings because all you could do is criticize my post but you couldn't rebuttal or dispute it. The truth hurts, its ok.

Hmmmmm. The last time I checked, Humans were fallible and prone to failure.

 

But there is always redemption and empathy for those getting back on the path.

 

When you can meet the standards you set forth, then you can judge and that's the truth.

I'd say this one completes the first chapter of the pride. In another 15 years maybe we can start talking about Bortles' and the Allen bros place in it.

This is a great day for the franchise. J-Smooth struck fear in DB's hearts and forced defensive coordinators to roll coverage to his side of the field. He had elite speed an ran great routes. One can argue that he is the best player in franchise history.
