Mostly because of Democrats, Gangs, and Mental Illness. That doesn't preclude the need to recognize new threats as they emerge and it's quite clear that Islamism is an emerging threat here.
Edit: And I'm really not concerned about legal immigrants like Shad Khan or other vetted Muslims, I do have a concern about porous borders that anyone can walk across at pretty much any time day or night.
Why don't you go to Mexico and test that theory out? Could be an interesting experiment.

I have family in Brownsville, Yuma, and San Diego and I've been to the border when visiting each. It's not exageration to say that it's easy to cross.

Multiple. Though not since 2011. Went to the 08 Jags Texans game in Jacksonville. Saw the legendary triple threat of Garrard Williams and Jones.
San Diego is a cool city been there a couple of times.
