Things got out of hand with Russian and English fans. By out of hand, I mean completely insane.
The English can't handle their drink. They don't have the charm or wit to pull of being unbelievably hammered.

I've never understood the violence that comes with a game, personally. It ruins it for those of us who actually enjoy it.
I can't believe you guys are making these statements. These Russian fans are neo-Nazzi and racist. I am from Eastern Europe and have gone to a lot of football games growing up. This behavior is very common at stadiums there. It's not a family friendly environment.

British since Welsh and Northern Ireland supporters were also targeted.
Violence comes with the game because Europe didn't have a civil rights movement akin to the US so it still harbors racist ideologies and discriminatory practices as well as ultra nationalism, which I believe to be the scourge of the world.
It's just ridiculous, if you want to fight, go somewhere and fight.
For me, leave the football stadia to those who have a passion for the game itself.
Fighting/aggression does not show passion, it shows that you're a moron. There is no justification for it whatsoever.

Ireland beat my homeland in the playoffs to secure a spot in the EURO. So naturally I had a vested interest in the Irish and I was rooting for the lads but it's hard not to cheer for the homie Ibrahimović.
