I think Allen could slide into the teens

He'd be a very nice addition.

I see them refining their draft strategy with these invites...

  • With Fournette you want to know if he's the pick or is it Jonathan Allen who is also visiting this week.

  • With McCaffery not being invited I get the feeling they have no intent to trade back and don't have any anticipation of him falling out of round one.

  • With Cook they're thinking he might be there in round two, so, like they did with Cam Robinson, they're doing their homework.

  • With Mixon I take it they just want to know the full story... including his side... just in case he really does start to tumble. I don't see the Jaguars taking him in the first three rounds, but they might find themselves looking at RB options in round four, so they have to know if he'd be an option should he fall that far.

Yea, I also think the pick will be either Allen or Fournette. Garrett and Thomas will go 1 and 2. The Bears have a number of options with Allen and Adams being the most likely. If they pick Adams, the Jaguars will have a tough decision to make.
Sort of like this Basham guy just watching a couple tapes. Anyone have more info on him or where he is projected? These private workouts we have for these guys are big indicators on who we might draft according to recent history.

I've mainly seen him projected in the 3rd to 4th rounds. I really like him. He has very good size and decent speed as well. He was pretty darn consistent last season.
While you don't want to look too hard into these visits, I think you can perhaps pick apart small bits of info from them.

- It seems they are strongly considering a running back in the first 3 rounds, which isn't really a surprise but perhaps shows what they think of Ivory and Yeldon.

- It seems they are looking for strong side ends instead of pure pass rushing ends like Yannick.

The guy is a 3-4 OLB, but I suppose he would work out well as a LEO or OTTO... err... I mean as a RDE or a SLB in our scheme.

I think there's very little chance you see a 270 pound DE playing 4-3 OLB for the Jags any time soon.

Basham is a pass rusher with the size to be somewhat versatile. Weak-side end in base package and strong-side end in nickel package.  Basically what Fowler is expected to do this season.
Per league source, #Jaguars hosting Alabama LB Rueben Foster and Ohio State S Malik Hooker later this week.
Will be interesting to see if we bring in other QBs and if we bring in Thomas.

Yeah they brought in the other guys so why not him. How many visits have we used?

My boy Hooker nice
Myles Garrett visiting this week too

Oh man, I wonder if we actually have interest in him or if it's just a smokescreen.

Big smokescreen

I'm sure there's interest, but also a reality.  They're just covering their bases with this visit in the event someone starts to slide unexpectedly.  Nothing wrong with being prepared.
