Cause he blew his knee out in the Fiesta Bowl. Instead of being a top 10 pick he fell all the way to the 2nd round last year TTR. 

 

If college is there to prepare you for your future career, I don't blame the players for doing a very simple risk/benefit analysis here. Yeah you want to play in the big college game but if your draft stock is pretty much going to stay the same, why are you going to risk ending up like Jaylon Smith or Marcus Lattimore? Playing in that game cost Smith a lot of money.
