Hi, Jacksonville Jaguars fans!       Our Jacksonville Jaguars own the #5 overall pick in tonight's 2016 NFL Draft.  One of the most needs is strengthening their offensive line to help protect Blake Bortles.  Jaguars might select defensive back Jalen Ramsey from Florida State as their top choice, or Laremy Tunsil to help protect Blake Bortles in the offensive line  if he is available.

 

Jacksonville owns eight picks in tonight's 2016 NFL Draft.  Like the rest of the NFL teams, a lot of drama and trades is expected in the next three nights from the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago.

 

We wish the wisdom and savvy of the Jaguars management through a successful draft in the next three nights, including Jaguars owner Shahid Khan, General Manager David Caldwell,  Head Coach Gus Bradley and his coaching staff, Chris Polian and the Jaguars Scouting Department,  and Jaguars College Scouting Director Mark Ellenz and his scouting staff together make their decisions to select the best players from their Jaguars War Room during the progress of the 2016 NFL Draft.

 

Both The NFL Network and ESPN will broadcast the 2016 NFL Draft beginning at 8:00PM  Eastern Standard Time.

The long wait is almost over! At the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University in Chicago the 2016 NFL Draft will commence at 8:00 p.m. ET with 31 first round selections. Then on Friday at 7:00 p,m. ET Round 2 will begin, followed by Round 3. On Saturday, Round 4 will kick off at 12:00 p.m. ET, followed by Rounds 5-7. NFL Network will have full live coverage of the three-day event.

 

There are 253 picks in this draft, including 33 compensatory selections. The Jacksonville Jaguars have eight picks:

If the Chargers & Cowboys pass on Jalen Ramsey... I'll be so excited to see the Jaguars draft him!

I will be happy with Ramsey too if the Cowboys pick Bosa.

2. Jalen Ramsey, CB, Florida State

Ramsey (6-1 1/4, 209, 4.41 40) was a three-year starter for the Seminoles, and started 14 games as a true freshman (three at cornerback and 11 at safety). He was the first true freshman since Deion Sanders in 1985 to start at cornerback for FSU

Good size and speed for a cornerback. Why do some analysts say he definitely should play corner and others say he is obviously a safety? If he is clearly better at one job nobody should be saying the opposite.

Who will watch it? I have to track the picks online, but will look for videos and live coverage on NFL.com while posting here.

He played both in College at a high level, and as a Free Safety he is the best in the draft (most consider in sports media & coach talk) but then again most see him as the best cornerback too in the draft..

either way the guy is probably the safest pick when the Jaguars have stunk against the pass for 10 years... and even though House played good & Prince is here (only one year contract, and he gets injured a lot) Aaron Colvin is suspended for at least four games drugs... the CB is probably the biggest need for the team coming into the draft.. even GM Dave Caldwell said he feels okay with his pass rushers (even though fans dont)..

so CB or Safety either one he's an instant plug & play guy... with TaShaun there he'll probably play shut down corner..

Overhype Ramsey as much as some fans and the media like, but PLEASE upload this SHUTDOWN cb footage i keep hearing about but have yet to see.  I'll live with the pick but VH3 is a SD CB, JR is an athletic freak-that is it, period.  Stop the hot air and smoke because i'm not blind yet.
