I didn't believe it at first but with Jack's recent admission that he may need microfracture surgery in the future and his knee is an unknown it looks like he will start falling down boards.

It does not matter what the Giants say. He will not drop into the 20s just because one team scratched his name off their favorites list.
If the knee situation with Miles Jack isn't a smokescreen, a former high 1st Round pick that comes to mind that had a shorten career because of a somewhat similar knee situation is Jets DT Dewayne Robertson. He was pick # 4 in 2003. If I recall, the Jets traded up for Robertson.
It isn't a smoke screen. Reputable reporters have all said the same thing. And any mention of micro-fracture surgery means he is out of the running at 5. Sucks I know.
Giants were not picking Jack at 10 anyway.
To be fair to Jack, Hubbach brought up microfracture surgery right before his quote, so he was basing his answer off of that.

Not if he has a knee that's damaged to the point that it needs microfracture surgery.
This is starting to remind me a little of Daquan Bowers. A top ten pick going into the week of the draft and fell to the second round.

Maybe that's the case but the Giants certainly can use a LB that has Myles Jack's ability. Their overall LB is far from a team strength. If Jack lasted to pick # 10 and had a consensus good bill of health, the Giants would be crazy not to at least seriously consider him at # 10.

If the rumors from the past week or so are true, it's fair to say that Myles Jack is going in the opposition direction of William Jackson III and Karl Joseph.

From a player/agent perspective he would've been better served to not say anything. He might have just cost himself millions.

Yeah it is crazy. Although I assume he has the lost of value policy that will cover him if he falls due to his knee.
Keep in mind after the post-combine medical recheck, NFL teams gave Jack's knee "mixed reviews." Of course all of the sources were anonymous, but it is safe to assume Jacksonville is one of the "We're not worried" teams.

I mean nothing he said would be something that teams didn't already know. They poked and prodded at his knee during the combine and during workouts. They know where his knee is at. What he said had no bearing on his draft status. It's just information that the public now knows.

Regardless of whether or not they're concerned about his knee, it's due diligence.
