So apparently slinging personal insults around makes you a good debater...

He'd get eaten alive by any competent political debater. The lack of policy beyond words would see him skewered to a more educated audience.

Quote:Look man, your guy lost, deal with it. No need to be salty. Lyin' Ted Cruz is virtually unelectable. Not only does the establishment hate him, but apparently so do the voters.

The only thing Lyin' Ted can do now is try to make deals with Kasich, a man that openly hates him, and hang around long enough for the GOP to steal the nomination from Trump. It's not gonna work! The people have spoken.

Looks like I struck a nerve with one of the trumpettes.
You've gotten really good at doing that.

But you know Cruz ain't getting the nomination, right? The guy is persona non grata with the vast majority of republicans...

Regarding your first comment, it's not really that difficult.  It's actually getting kind of boring.

Regarding your second comment, I agree with you only when it comes to the republican "leadership" establishment.  I do think that the majority of people that are registered republicans would back Cruz in a general election.

Ted Cruz represents a small niche of republicans. And within that niche, he isn't that popular...

2 Corinthians and other clear religious gaffes didn't sway evangelicals away from trump in the south...

If trump is ousted at the convention, those voters in the south are gonna stay home...

I don't think you see Cruz the way the majority of voters, both red and blue and independent, see him

I would beg to differ on that point.  Real Conservatives are not necessarily a "small niche" of republican voters.  Many hold the same values and beliefs that he does.

Trump is doing so well within the republican party because a vast majority of republicans are tired of the status quo and "politics as usual" that has been going on for several years in Washington DC by both parties.  He came out and ran his mouth in a way that "shook up" the party.

The thing is, most trumpettes don't realize that he is pretty much the same thing.  His speeches are nothing more than "we will build a wall... and it will be a beautiful wall... and we will make Mexico pay for it" along with "we will impose tariffs" and "we will make other countries pay for our military presence".  He doesn't ever say how any of that is going to happen.

Whenever he is challenged he comes up with the little insulting catch-phrases to insult his opposition.  The low-information voters and "american idol" voters lap that up.  Trumpettes even use the same phrases and terminology that he uses in his speeches.
I don't know, dude... I think you are seeing the split of the republican party...

Evangelicals and fiscal conservatives and and the establishment republicans are the main wings of the party.

If you look at the south, trump ran away with it--and that was after all his religious gaffes! I'm sure you remember 2 Corinthians. :-) and don't forget he's chill with the transgender...

What that tells us is that the evangelicals are not the power house they were thought to be. Cruz panders to evangelicals like Gus Bradley panders to Baskin Robbins. Losing the south tells me that his core constituents are a niche of the party.

Now, can he pander to the fiscal conservatives? possibly. But he's lost the establishment, and he ain't never getting them back...

If half the republicans stay home, and the angry trump voters don't have trump on the ticket, they will leave the party, at least for this cycle.

the republicans won't have a chance. Cruz, no offense, is almost as big a joke as little Marco..

You kind of make my point as far as Trump being a Clinton plant.  In my opinion, it's already been decided.  If Trump gets the nomination, then conservatives will pretty much stay home ensuring a Hillary victory.  If it goes to a contested convention and they nominate Cruz, then many of the low information voters registered republican will stay home.  If they nominate anyone else including Marco Rubio, I don't think that the support will be there to defeat Hillary.

In any scenario, Trump will have fulfilled what he intended to do, ensure the coronation election of Hillary to The Oval Office.
John Boehner called Ted Cruz "Lucifer in the Flesh".

Now, this might be a good thing if John Boehner is talking about the FOX TV show's Lucifer.  But I get the distinct feeling he's not.

No nerves struck. My guy is winning - that's what Trump does, he wins, believe me. I'm not the one going through mental gymnastics trying to come up with scenarios where my candidate secures the nomination. Lyin' Ted can try to steal the primary all he wants. Trump will just stick to getting the votes...

I don't really think that is the case. I think the Trumpettes are more baffled that you continually try to convince yourself and others that he isn't getting the nomination. You have gone from detailed delegate scenario contested convention posts to "I will just stay home or write in". You are slowly coming to the other side. The transformation is almost complete.

haha i know this guy after every primary election was coming up with some delusional scenario where Rubio still gets elected. lmbo!

go ahead and stay home! the rest of the country, IN RECORD NUMBERS, will make the decision for you.

LOL.  Let me guess.  IF Trump actually wins the Presidency the following is going to happen.

1.  We are going to build a wall, and it's going to be a big beautiful wall, everyone is going to love it.  We'll get Mexico to pay for it!

2.  We are going to impose a tariff against any company that manufactures goods outside of the U.S.!  (Never mind that it will drive the cost up for average consumers).

3.  We are going to re-negotiate non-existing trade deals with other countries.

4.  We are going to charge other countries for our military presence around the globe.

Are there any other Trump fantasies that I'm forgetting?  Does anyone with a clear head even think anymore?  The only reason Trump is ahead in polls is because the "low information" voters lap up his rhetoric, even when it doesn't include any specifics as far as "how".  He is truly the "American Idol" candidate, more so than Obama.

You trumpettes are going to get what you wanted.

Don't Blame me, I votedfor Cruz

Let's just say hypothetically, Trump wins and plays golf every single day of his presidency and does nothing. Would it be any different than it is now?

Could we have Congress do the same thing?
Hilary tried to attack Donald Trump as being a sexist early on and he hit back with comments about Bill Clinton & she immediately dropped in all the polls.

He hasn't even really started on her, which if you think about it is smart.  Win the battle in front of you, and don't over extend yourself by trying to defeat everyone at once.

If he wins Indiana tomorrow which is most likely, then all he really needs to do is win California and he's a lock.. the thing is he's leading in all the polls for the remaining states.  Ted Cruz is on the decline and has lost 7 states in a row (where he barely had any votes)...

Wasn't this thread supposed to be about LIbertarians? How did it end up derailed by the FanBoiz?

It's about to happen...
