Ramsey if available

Tunsil if not

I voted for Buckner, I'd rather Jack though, I'm quite nervous because of the recent comments made by Dave, the pick not being a household name thing, what he said about the top 10 and trust that they will make a good decision based on the information they have, I hope I'm wrong but to me it was like they were about to reach and not grab one of the fan favorite.

I'm going under the assumption that Jalen Ramsey will be taken prior to the Jaguars pick.   If Ramsey is available,  I think he will be the Jaguars choice.

I have the same gut feeling.
I have a feeling Daves making a lot of Jack noise but that he is going to end up getting Ramsey one way or another.

I agree with all of this but I think Dave is going to go get his guy!
Myles Jack.

"I think we have enough, although people think of pass rushers as edge rushers," Caldwell said. "But that's not the case, especially with the way teams are getting the ball out so quickly."

That would make you think that the #5 overall pick will not be an pass rushing Defensive Lineman, right?  Well...

"If you ask me, I’d like to have Group A and Group A," Bradley said Friday. "Let’s just rotate. Here’s a four, let’s go. Here comes another group of four and let’s go. Keep guys fresh and let’s keep the pressure on and keep that competition going. Guys are battling. That’s eight, let’s go. I think that’s where you see the, ‘You can never have enough rushers.’ Well yeah, that’s right. When you say things like that, ‘Gus, how about this skill set?’ That’s not a concern if you get enough. I think you can never have enough guys that can be disruptive.

Okay, if you read the tea leaves between what Gus & Dave are telling the press a couple days ago you would think that yes they are going to draft pass rushers maybe a few of them but not until the later rounds?

I think they both already have a guy in mind for #5 and apparently he's not a PASS RUSHER

unless of course it is simply lies to throw other teams off.

Keep in mind the comments that Dave Caldwell had made about how incredibly hard it is to find a BALL HAWK Safety in this league, while TaShaun signing makes people think that he won't go for Jalen Ramsey we could all be wrong about that... or maybe Myles Jack to play SS?

I will eat my hat if the browns make that pick
Who knows we always have surprises during the draft every year.

All those comments do is make me think Buckner is their guy.
They paid an incredible amount of money to Malik Jackson and Buckner is similar to him, but who knows they sure are keeping us all guessing...

At the end of the day, I highly doubt Buckner will be our pick.

Just a hunch, but I would bet on it.

They passed on Leonard Williams last year, and who knows Buckner might not even be there at #5

Caldwell is dropping hints and we're not paying attention. Look at the comments again:

Quote:"I think we have enough, although people think of pass rushers as edge rushers," Caldwell said. "But that's not the case, especially with the way teams are getting the ball out so quickly."
That's a major hint that we're looking at a DT. What's the fastest way to the QB? Thru the Center.

Throw in the fact that both Gus and Dave keep saying "pass rusher" and not defensive end or edge rusher in all of their comments and voilà....Buckner it is.

I hope you're right. But I wouldn't bet on it

Watch this interview with GM Dave Caldwell he mentions at 03:39 about the year the Jaguars took Blake Bortles & many thought that they had reached but that they had liked him... that's a hint that it could be a guy like Leonard Floyd that many haven't considered a Top 5 pick too...

Floyd is good at getting at the QB from the inside & could play MLB.

GM Dave Caldwell mentioned that he has no intention to trade up, but he mentioned how he already had several calls from teams to trade down & he is considering them based on the value.

Would it shock us if the rumors are true & he trades down to 15 for example thinking Floyd will be there?

We aren't taking Floyd at 5. If you're right, then props to you, but I don't believe that at all.
GM Dave Caldwell mentioned that neither Luke nor Fowler had any Red flags coming out (a hint that Myles Jack is probably not really on his mind).   I don't know if it is Floyd or not but I don't think he'll draft him at 5 but rather trade back if that's the guy.. then again he didn't trade back with Bortles when many felt he could so who knows...

and if it is Floyd it might not even be to play LB he mentioned how he wants to model the Defense after the winning SB Broncos in which they had waves of front 7 being moved in and out to keep fresh at a high level.
