The Bucs drafting Moritz Boehringer.with pick # 9 would surprise me as much as anything that's occurred in an NFL Draft this century.
I guess after Janikowski anything is possible.
From PFF about Jalen Ramsey going to Jacksonville
While edge help is the Jaguars’ top priority, CB is a close second. Davon House was Jacksonville’s top-ranked CB in coverage last season (42nd in the league), and free-agent acquisition Prince Amukamara never ranked better than 31st in coverage while with the Giants. Ramsey is an elite, scheme-independent defensive back prospect who is No. 2 on Jacksonville’s board, and would be a major Day-1 upgrade for the Jaguars.
+----------------------
I can see the argument for a pass rusher, but the GM said he feels comfortable with the pass rushers the way they are now, but what he didn't say he felt comfortable with was the Defensive backs & for good reason as you can read above or simply know from watching the Jaguars for the last ten years. The team has been the worst against the pass for far too long & while a pass rusher could help change that the need for a corner is far too great. I don't know if they will trade up for Jalen Ramsey or trade down & get a Vernon Hargreaves III, Eli Apple or someone else but if I have to put my money where my mouth is I'm going to be that its a DB! (at least it should be if nothing else)
I can see them going with a LB which is also a need but an elite corner is higher need IMO!
I think the pick will be Jack, because he will be available to us and because Caldwell has shown a lot of interest in him.
I'd be more than happy with that.
Last week I was convinced we'd take Myles Jack, before that it was Ramsey but now I think we'll take Bosa if he's available.
I have always had this off feeling about Myles Jack, I don't know if its his knee surgery or the fact that he seems so over hyped... but something simply tells me he's not the guy to draft..
I guess that is why I dont get paid big bucks.. but if i was the GM I would stick with my original gut feeling and draft Jalen Ramsey (Despite the Free Agency signing of TaShaun.. I simply would try him at corner - Jalen that is)...
Myles Jack, obviously assuming our medical team cleared him.
Could you imagine the amount of heat Caldwell would be feeling if his last two top 5 picks somehow managed to both suffer knee injuries and miss time in 2016? Is it really that impossible of a situation to imagine? I dont think so, and I dont think hes going to take the chance.
I think he trades up to 3 for Ramsey

Nah man, no need to trade up. its going Goff, Wentz, Buckner, Bosa, Ramsey.
Quote:All in on Jack
nah man, Jack is damaged goods garbage bro.
I think its gonna be Jack

Your feeling on Jack is exactly how I feel about Bosa. Just seems off to me.

Doubt it, but either way I think hes definitely the target for us.
And honestly if hes off the board I think it wont be Jack. Unless they reaaaally are impressed with his medicals. He may be young, but I would imagine playing both positions in college would be tough on the knees.
I feel it will be Bosa. Which I'm fine with. The qb's going in the top 2 really helped us pick a very good defensive player.
Quote:Buckner. First time I felt this the whole draft process.
He is just to good.Over Bosa
I dont get how Buckner is better then Bosa, Buckner had one solid pass rush year, other then that he was mostly just a very good run stuffer. guess who else was like that, Alualu.
Bosa is a pass rusher, hes been it for 3 years, last year he just got all the double teams, and still had a very good year.
In 4 years Buckner has 36 tackles for loss and 18 sacks, over half those sacks came this year.
In 3 years Bosa had 51 tackles for loss 26 sacks
Stats are not everything but Bosa's consistency tells me everything I need to know over Buckner.

I agree with Bosa being more consistent and productive in college, but stats are really hard to lean on for guidance. Its ultimately all a guessing game, and I could see Buckner getting drafted ahead of Bosa because of his projected future production.
Buckner. He's a freak of an athlete and a playmaker. I think Jack is just too risky.

I dont get how Buckners is a pass rusher, his skills dont translate to pass rusher in the NFL, now as a solid big guy up front yes he is good

All those comments do is make me think Buckner is their guy.

Again how is Buckner a pass rusher? He had one solid year in the Pac 10 with sacks, so did Alualu and so did Danny Shelton they are not pass rushers they as solid big guys.
