I watch this guy in interviews being incredibly humble despite having a terrific 2nd year in the NFL, and I wonder why so many fans continue to think negative about him.
I have to wonder if it has something to do with the media's view on him after he struggled in his rookie year. They forgot to mention that when he was drafted the franchise said he wasn't going to start his rookie year. They may not recall that he had to play behind the Jaguars worst Offensive line in franchise history, and the worst oline in the NFL. They may not want to allow the fact that he had all rookie injured WRs whom themselves struggled with dropped passes, or the fact that his OC was fired after his rookie year for lack of production & not coaching Bortles right according to the Head Coach.
We witnessed Blake Bortles Quarterback Rating jump from 69.5 to 88.2 after only one year, and not since Dan Marino had a QB so young scored so much with so much passing yards in his 2nd year in the NFL. He is only going to get better with an improved Offensive line, an added running threat with Free Agent Chris Ivory & hopefully a much improved defense.
Why aren't more Jaguar fans as excited as me that the team has it's best franchise QB in Jaguar history. There I said it. I know it has only been one year, but he is better than Mark Brunnell. He simply needs his LT Tony Boselli, to have the time to throw. That is why I for one will not be upset if pick #5 is LT Tunsil.

Guess who is now at the top of the passing record list... He threw for more yards, and TDs, with higher rating than Mark (not sure why Blake wasn't in the ProBowl).
boom
