Quote:Miller was suspended for attempting to cheat the testing process, not for a positive test.
And he was cheating the testing process just because he thought it was a fun thing to do?
The only reason you'd do that is because you knew you would fail or were trying to find a way to hide a future fail.
In this case, it was a dilution to directly hide a failed test, which is the SAME as a failed test. Positive is how it counts, officially.
It's interesting how people think he'll return and things will be the same as before. Don't you understand he was taking PEDs to increase his speed, increase his size, improve his performance? Would he have even made the roster if he was clean? Will he be the same when he returns clean? I doubt it.

Pretty confident Colvin will still make the team.

I bet he comes back even better.
This just gives the other Cbs on the team a chance to shine, and maybe Mccray can get his swagger back and solidify himself at nickel. Who knows! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Why not draft Vernon Hargreaves at #5 overall (I know people have him listed outside of top 10, but you know what they did the same with QB Blake Bortles too)..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGHGBALU...tml5=False
The torch was passed from WR Jimmy Smith to WR Allen Robinson while it took over a decade of bad WRs.. time WR Mathis handed over the torch to Hargreaves III.. sure he'll struggle a bit in his rookie year just QB Blake did and some haters will say he shouldn't have been the pick #5 but then next year when Vernon is in the ProBowl they'll all say how smart of a pick he was...
I thought this offseason was going a little too well. Something bad had to happen. I was actually expecting some key injury but here we go.
Quote:Just goes to show. A ton of players use PEDs (define the word PED as you like). Not shocked. Sometimes players get popped.
Same with Baseball
sadly, true. However, the fact that it's a too common practice doesn't make it right. How stupid of AC.
This isn't going to help Gus keep his job. I'm not so worried about the Jets in game 1, but the Bengals, Falcons and Bucs can all beat the Jags with a "B" performance. Starting out 1-3 would be a terrible way to start 2016. Sure hope Prince transitions over well and D.Fowler has a fire lit under him after sitting a year.

lol
We are going to be in big trouble if we go 1-3 in the preaseason huh?

Hahaha
Anyone know what drug he was actually taking? PEDs can range from anabolics to Adderall
Am I the only one that really doesn't care one way or the other?
The dude was not going to be a starting cb, and in my opinion the drop off between colvin, McCray, and gratz in terms of being the 3rd cb isn't that big.
And he'll be back by October. And, correct me if I'm wrong, but he still participated in all preseason activities.
Not sure why this would be a reason to be concerned...
#1. This does not in any way, shape or form, affect Dave Caldwell's draft strategy. GMs do not look at the draft, ESPECIALLY the 1st Round for short term issues. It is a LONG TERM view, not "oh god, 4 games without our Nickle Corner, throw the whole board away, we have to draft a replacement NOW!".
#2. Colvin was serviceable. He's better in the Nickle, but our other options at CB have been so terrible he was forced to play the #2 role. He did not excel there. Prince coming in pushes him to the Nickle, and both positions are upgraded.
#3. We were HIGHLY likely to draft another CB anyways. If not, Nick Marshall or McCray can hold down Nickle for 4 weeks. That's if we DON'T land someone like Ramsey. It could happen.
#4. VH3 is a good looking CB Prospect. However, let's keep this in the plane of reality. If Ramsey, Bosa, or Jack are there, they WILL be taken. VH3 is not going to go over any of those 3.
#5. PEDs are a part of professional sports. It's unfortunate, but it's true. It should not come as a surprise that some players will look for every possible edge they can gain in order to be one of the FEW players selected to an NFL Roster, and even FEWER in a "starting" role. There are millions of dollars at stake. If you can't understand why someone would take that risk (4 game suspension if caught) for that reward (potential multi-million dollar raise), then you are simply naive. It's not RIGHT, but none of us are angels.
#6. Personally, I say let em all take Steroids and HGH and whatever. It's Sports Entertainment. It's their body. I'm not that worried about it, because frankly, I believe a lot more players than you think are on something... And I don't blame them one bit.
#7. PEDs vs Recreational Drugs - HUGE difference imo. One is effectively a business decision to try and improve on the field. The other... well.. Justin Blackmon says high... It's not even that I'm against Rec Drug use... but I can't use them in my career field, so you know what... I don't. And I'm not making Millions.

In other news... Ernest Wilford is now a policeman.

Jinx the team...no....

^^^^This.
McCray by all rights should have a HUGE chip on his shoulder.
I just like this ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
