Quote:Lol Just like Aguayo, if VH3 didn't play in the state of Florida, no one on here would be talking about him.
But because he went to Florida and people have biased opinions, he's talked about as a pick for us.
Well I don't think this is quite true he is a good player, but he wouldn't be the consensus #1 tier of his own CB like he is on these boards. Assuming Ramsey is the S/CB/Mathieu whatever we would use him as here of course.
Across the rest of the world you see a lot of WJ3 ahead of VH3 (and sometimes Apple as CB1, though I disagree with that one pretty strongly).
Quote:Its really not that hard. I dont think House is a number 1 WR! I think Hargreaves has the potential to be one of the better corners in the league! Jack and Bosa are at the top of my board but if Hargreaves is the pick I feel he can be the number 1 corner we have lacked since Mathis in his prime! Pretty simple. You can cry about how I feel about the situation all you want but thats just it. You think House can be the number 1 corner, the secondary is in good shape with a pass rush, and we need a pass rusher! Cool
You're right! House isn't a number 1 WR, he's a corner.
Yeah i like VH3 but not at 5. I was really high one him but man I just dont see how you draft a corner at 5 that is 5'10 and ran a 4.5 at the combine. Atleast have an elite attribute. If he ran like 4.3 then id couple that with his good film. But he's smaller and on the slower side of corner speed.
Id rather Jack according to this mock.
If we take Jack in the first, there is very good CBs available at the top of round 2.
Artie Burns is my guy. He's a fit, pushes for a starting role VS a prove-it deal Prince.
Then we can address a pass rush, edge, tweener, with a 3rd or 4th round pick. While possibly also adding a project O-line or TE.
Later rounds are all about depth and I don't think we'll be hoping any gems become starters from the 6th and 7th like previous seasons.
Good pick up, you cant pass up a shut down CB, also plus he is a good kid, dad is a coach, great work ethic, loves football, playmaker, great playing man to man.
No issue drafting him, and dont see why people would be upset if it happened outside of he isnt the guy they wanted like every year.
I only get mad when we reach, like Alualu
Dodd is this years Ansah lets see if teams make the same mistake on passing on him

What kind of comparison is this? Ansah is a total freak athlete who, since he was a basketball and track athlete at BYU who didn't play a snap of football until his Sophomore season of college, was extremely raw and highly projectable.
Dodd is a bad athlete (24th in this class alone, 19th percentile for all NFL DEs) who is already mostly developed, will be 24 before the season starts, and has very little projection left in him.

Gimme Jack,Ramsey,Bosa or VH3 and I shall be a happy man.

Just that they were one year wonders and the thing is tape is everything and it shows he can actually play which is y ur dumb athletic chart makes no sense when he's projected #9 he will be the best de from this class and is still my top overall player

The athleticism combined with the context (super raw from only 2.5 years of total football experience) and 'tape' for Ansah showed that he was at like 10% of what his total package could be.
Dodd's lack of athleticism and poor 'tape' until literally the last 5 games of his career, despite being older and more physically developed than anyone he lined up against, would hint that he is probably at like 90% of what he is as a football player.
That's the major difference. Could be wrong, but I suspect you managed to watch the last two games of his career in the BCS playoffs and let that minuscule SSS taint the image far too much.

Hate to do it but I have to agree with ky here. Dodd is pretty much maxed out and still not a great pass rusher. He's more fit to be a left end and stuff the run.
He will not be anything special.
