Would not mind Darron Lee 2nd Rd if he falls. Probable the guy doesn't fall outside the 1st, but you have a Kwon Alexander like Weak side LB with decent coverage and pass rushing skills as well as his versatility. Just a scenario if they skip out on Jack.
If we got a Kwon Alexander like Weak side LB, what would we do with Telvin Smith?
Bosa is the only player I could see us taking over Jack

Thats kind of what I'm thinking too.

There are some real good arguments for all 3. Bosa fits a need, Jack is super-talented and fits a lesser need, Ramsey might be the most talented of them all. In terms of talent, I'd rank them: Ramsey, Jack, Bosa. In terms of need, I'd rank them Bosa, Jack, Ramsey.
But for some reason, maybe it's the last 20 years where we've had 3rd and long and the opposing TE is running wide open, I prefer Myles Jack.
We haven't managed to cover a TE
EVER that I can remember. Myles Jack would be like the Queen on a chessboard. Go anywhere, do anything.

With Fowler coming back, I'd list LB as a bigger need than DE. It's the only position group we didn't address in FA either.

Gipson should be able to help cover TE's also.

idk if its a bigger need but definitely a big one. Skuta isnt anything special and poz/telvin are what they are. I really wouldnt be opposed to double dipping on LBs if we can get Myles first and another in the third assuming one is there thats worth it.
If kentrell brothers or jaylon smith are there in the third i think you snag em.

Here's the thing, if Jaylon Smith is sitting there in the Third I think you have to take a very hard look as to
why. Smith is very highly regarded with respect to his playing ability. If every team is willing to pass on him twice and some teams three times, it might mean that there is more to this injury than just "wait a year".
In other words, if he's there in the Second I want him. If he's there in the Seventh, I'll take a shot. But in the Third? I'm nervous.
You couldnt pay me to pick ramsey at 5. And since dave is a tape man. He will pass as well.

Smart of Dave to watch tape. I wonder will the rest of the NFL catch on.
If this were our first two picks, I would be very excited for what the defense could become. DE rarely make a huge impact in the first year. CB's and LB's on the other hand can contribute quickly. Honestly, I think the prince signing was only to bridge the gap for whatever cb is drafted.

Here's hoping Dave burns that Hargreaves/Michigan/Bama tape!

He should keep it and compare it to ramsey's film so he is completely confident when saying vh3 is a better player.

So are you insinuating that telvin is just average?
I agree with 1981, I think Prince is a seat warmer for the CB we draft. There's no guarantee that Prince stays after his year is up, he could light it up, go FA and hit the yellow brick road. Or he could suck or be hurt again and just be gone.
Drafting a top CB high and letting him be part of the rotation and become acclimated to the pro game is a wise move as well as providing insurance if Amukamara is, ah, injured.

What is Telvin?
Do you all watch Ramsey or just follow NFL media? He is not worth top 5.
Later, we might be able to say you're right, but right now he has the wanted measurables at a premium position. That is what has him in the top 5 discussion; potential.
