And just curious, if all three were there (Bosa, Jack AND Ramsey) then would anyone here choose Ramsey first? Seems interest in him has cooled a little on this forum.
I would prefer Ramsey, then Jack, then Bosa. I don't care if we have Gipson, I think Ramsey is the best player out of the three, and in nickel packages something like House, Prince, Colvin, Gipson, and Ramsey as our back five would be pretty good. As long as Jack is healthy, have no problem with him either. Bosa just seems to me like a player whose stats were padded by other good players around him. I see a lower ceiling with him.
Not a lot to pad last season

Bosa's teammates had little to do with his success. He's been regarded as one of the top players for quite some time. If anything, they benefitted from having him.
I do agree he has a lower ceiling because he's not the athletic freak you would associate with a top 5 edge rusher. What he is though is a really really good football player who will make any defense better at both stopping the run and rushing the passer. He is not my first choice but if he is our pick, we should be happy we got the best d-lineman in the draft.

Could be, but on many of the plays I saw him make a teammate made the initial push or seemed to make the difference, and he mopped up. To me he seemed like the beneficiary. Still, I am no expert, and think Dave has done a good job, so I imagine I will be happy with who he picks.
Bosa is not quick enough off the edge for me to take him top 5. He also seemed to be a little slow to get going once the ball was snapped. I don't watch much college ball, but I've seen him play a few times over the past two years and never came away as impressed as others. Great motor and toughness, but I don't think he has the goods athletically to be a top 5 pick. Who knows though, I remember especially disliking the Bortles and MJD picks too, so take it fwiw.
Jack, because he can be the starting RB also since Yeldon kind of sucks and Ivory is just a bulldozer.

I haven't been wanting to bring this up because I was worried how you might take it, but your troll game is awfully weak.
Come on man, you can do better than this! I know you can! You've got greatness in you, you just need to figure out how to get it out.

There's no subtlety. Too bitter up front.
Im really jumping on the Lawson train tbh

had potential but i dont think the scheme maximizes his potential

He's really not good at it huh. Sad, really.
Bosa still if both on Board hands down take Bosa. Bosa can play LE and Fowler at RE and can switch to confuse offenses.

Bosa doesnt need to be quick. Quick is nice. But when ya have an Electrifying player on the other end. Ya wanna guy who can plow through defenders.
Remember the old Tampa D. It worked cause of a mix of speed and power.

But Bosa won't have an electrifying player on the other end...

So from this I take it that you view Bosa as a replacement for Odrick?
If that's what he would be then Jack is definitely the better choice.
Quote:bosa jack does not rush the passer.
Interesting. The whole point of the OTTO which makes him different than your typical OLB is that he can rush the passer. You see, this defense is ideally more of a 3-4 disguised as a 4-3. The NT and LDE are primarily meant to hold up on the strong side and take blocks while the OTTO brings key pressure from the strong side, which in turn often means absorbing TE chips.
I thought you must be wrong about this, but sure enough his
PFF scouting report
mentions nothing about his ability to get to the qb, and I noticed that Walters doesn't even include him as a rush backer. Finally, thinking we can't all be this gung ho about Jack if he doesn't even rush the passer, I opted to look up his stats. In three seasons, Jack has totaled one sack.
I'm hoping with his incredible athleticism he can pick up up pass rushing, but keep in mind that pass rushing is a skill that players typically hone for many years by the time they get to the NFL. I'm honestly concerned by this because an OTTO rushes the passer plain and simple. It sounds to me like Jack is strictly a 4-3 OLB.

Bosa's combine numbers beg to differ. He had a 4.53 40, a 4.21 short shuttle and a 6.89 3-cone, all of which are top two at his position and all of which suggest he's plenty quick and fast enough. He's drawing comparisons to Kerrigan, and I love me some Kerrigan. Bosa is among the most legit LEO prospects I've seen since Gus took over.
An article on NFL.com today indicates that there are some rumblings within the Cowboys camp that they would not take Bosa if avaiable at pick 4. The chance of Bosa being available at pick 5 is possibly increasing.
