If Mariota turns out to be a franchise QB the Titans made the right decision. If he ends up being hurt a lot (a la Bradford) or a bust (a la RGIII) they made the wrong decision.
Truth is MM looked really good at times, but also suspect at times. We won't know his trajectory until the end of this season when teams push to exploit his weaknesses.
Quote:Sure they were high on Mariota, but the problem is... HE SUCKS!!!
I will never root for the tacks. however mariota is not trash. Give him weapons and he is a pain. So no I do not blame the tacks for not taking the trade.
He looked pretty darn good hanging 50 on the Jaguars last season...
Funny, because the tacks are asking for a kings ransom for the #1 pick this year. Glad the rest of the GM's in our division are garbage and don't see a good deal when it slaps them in the face.
I would have taken that deal in a heartbeat. I'm glad they didn't because they'd probably be in a lot better shape.....
GO JAGS!!
Quote:Mariota really impressed me this season with next to nothing on offense bar Walker and a dodgy line.
Yeah I hate to admit it but that kids a stud. Bortles vs Mariota gonna be a fun match-up for the next decade.

You do realize it's not "hanging 50" when it takes two games and a defensive score to get to 50, right?
The thing is in hindsight the trade is a no brainer. However if you take cox and a qb. Your responsible to take over their saleries.
Vs a lower end one with the rookie contracts low balled.

Pretty much. Swapping teams, I'd be loathing that we got a poor man's Griffin, while the Titans got the one we should have.
